Zeus 09/10/17 9:29:13 PM #6:	Given that 50 is slow, you've picked some bizarre benchmarks and I'm not sure that anybody does less than 20/minute even via hunt&peck, you've picked some terrible benchmarks. When I was in high school, my gwam between 120-130. I asked some friend who work for the gov. about this, cause I figured everyone types at least 40wpm, but it turns out that quite a few long term gov. employees do not, which is why they implemented the test requirements. So when you apply for a position, you have to go to one of a few specific websites that test your speed, and include proof in your application. I did a quick one and hit 105wpm the first time I took it, and just used that for my apps. I could easily practice a bit (tests are always different, and take time to get used to), but I figure 105 is probably enough if they are looking for 40wpm+. I used to play some online game that had people race to type stuff etc, there where some crazy fast typers on there though. I type faster then I can talk, and I didn't always win when going against them.
