I wouldn't say it's fake. More or less, I think it depends on if you believe in spirits/demons and fear. There are definitely stories of people screwing up houses/making weird things happen after using them. If you don't believe spirits exist you'll probably have little chance of seeing shit happen since apparently fear has some energy that causes them to come to yo. It is also possible for that belief to influence you subconsciously, meaning you are actually moving the dial without even realizing it

Anyway, not saying they are guaranteed to cause spirits to pop out of nowhere, but for people saying they are toys just because they haven't experienced anything first hand.... that's pretty dumb, Same exact argument goes for me saying they aren't toys based off of anecdotal evidence of them actually "arousing spirits"

Some of you really need to think about these things instead of just dismissing it lol. Being open minded doesn't mean you're gullible and I feel like 95% of this board has that mentality

It sounds like pure manipulation when I read about it but if it is manipulation, why does it need it's own special term?

Example:
