However, the Guardian interestingly reports that gay and straight men both have the same number of sexual partners -- according to OKCupid

Last week one of the world's largest dating websites, OkCupid, collated and published the results of their user "match" questions, which are designed to find out as much as they can about their 4 million members in order to help them find dates. The statistics are startling.

There is only a one percentage point difference between heterosexuals and homosexuals in their promiscuity: 98% of gay people have had 20 or fewer sexual partners; 99% of straight people have had the same number. Tellingly, OkCupid found that it is just 2% of gay people that are having 23% of the total reported gay sex.

Granted, the author seemingly has an agenda.

It is much, much harder to find a gay couple that makes it to 2 nights, let alone 2 years. And gay couples are more likely to have an age gap, versus a hetero couple. Which also factors into their relationship length. It isn't uncommon for one to be a barely twenty-something and the other is over forty. And while they may share sexual interests, that's where their 'bonding' ends.

You're insinuating that having a lot of sex is only possible by having it with a s*** ton of different people. If you have sex 2-3 times a day with the same person you fully intend on spending the rest of your life with, it wouldn't make you a slut, but you'd certainly be having a lot of sex.

I laughed at your remark, for starters, because it demonstrated a profound ignorance of both the stereotypes and reality of gay relationships. As for the silly high school drama you're attemping, I should point out that you didn't even warrant a ratings topic back when they were doing them but, if you were rated, you'd likely score far worse than I did (I ranked 36/68 among rated PotDers) so you're really not one to talk.

Otherwise, I should point out that many of my most vocal critics have vocally left the board.
