In the past year I've dated a 22 year old and a 24 year old and even then there was a massive difference between us. The thing that really got me is that they were both constantly on their phone, whereas dating people my own age or older that just doesn't happen as much. I tried to voice how shitty this place was but of course I was just the level 1 so my words didn't get far It's really shitty how bad these jobs can be, if I would've known my situation was this bad I would've left right after my one year. Some Baby boomers really are just assholes and act like just because they were treated like shit while working it's ok to treat people working like shit. | mastermix3000 08/25/17 1:38:54 PM #1 | Basically, one of the only people I like at work is leaving (or I have a feeling they are as it would be a great time to leave anyway and they're being suspicious) Anyway my job is severely understaffed. There is no way in hell I'm going to make it until next March without the other person as they were the only person who helped and I will most likely be the new in charge So basically I will leave my team severely screwed (would go from team of 4 to 2). I think this would send a very clear message that the job needs to seriously reevaluate management. The way they treat workers is pretty ridiculous (One very good example is this guy who is awesome helping my team out. He told my boss he was working way more hours he was told originally and my boss flat out said "what did you expect, we're understaffed - aka they lied) I think they continue to do this because, well, situations like this never happen where people just say fuck it and leave them screwed My issue: you get the stigma that millennials can't handle "real jobs" but truth is, most people saying that are just assholes trying to justify being an asshole. However my resume won't say that and the only interviews where this story will work is people who've been in this situation/understanding or if I just say this job wasn't for me, which is a real crapshoot answer What would you do? btw after typing this I realized that I'm definitely leaving.
