Nope. I can for sure like someones personality first and then get to find their looks attractive but it all boils down to the same thing. I need to at least find someone physically attractive in order to date them otherwise I lose interest fast.

Is the "Asking for a friend" part an obvious joke or are you seriously trying to pass that off literally? In the case that you are, psychologically, that phrase is usually indicative of someone asking for themselves while trying to deflect the stigma of doing so. However, if you are being ironic and you know this then when did this "Asking for a friend" thing become a new meme? I've seen it three times in a week.

I think there are some people who are ugly at first but then you get to know them and they turn out to be gorgeous in your eyes afterwards.

it's hard but generally no.
inner beauty affects outer appearances, so that helps make really nice people appear even cuter.

it just wouldn't feel right dating someone that doesn't keep me staring at them and wanting to talk to them.

When I like a person I can find a lot about them attractive even if they're not conventionally attractive. Maybe their smile stands out, or the way they squint when they're happy is heartwarming. Or how they laugh makes me smile.

But if I have no feelings for a person I really don't care what they look like. People are a complete package inside and out. As long as I don't find someone physically repulsive an attraction could be cultivated.

We all end up old and ugly anyways. Physical and Psychical attraction never lasts. It's personality that lasts. If you want to be with someone, it doesn't matter how they look.

I tried recently and failed. I kept thinking that I should cut it quick before I turn into that ass who leads someone on. I think it'd work if the girl was greatly compatible with me personalitywise. It just wasn't the case this time.

Why would i? We can be good friends.

If someone looks great, but has no/abrasive personality then in 10 years they will not look as good and still be boring/abrasive.

If someone isn't the "prettiest" but has a great personally then in 10 years they will still likely have a great personality.

Looks are fleeting, date and stay with people who make you smile first, as looks ultimately do not matter.

(Please bare in mind both who is "Pretty" and who has a rubbish personality may differ from person to person.)

It's very possible. Anecdotally, most guys I know feel the way I do, and most girls I know don't.

Funny because psychic attraction is like the most important thing to me. Physical is still important, but I've been psychically attracted to only a few people in my life, and only 2 of them where female.

I can be psychially attracted to a guy and not be phsycially attracted to them (my best friend when I was in my 20's, I enjoyed doing just about anything with him.

My wife was like that as well, I enjoyed doing just about anything with her.

It's hard for me to even think about dating someone that isn't like that but I have a few times in the past, and have considered it a bunch more (Even recently).

Honestly though, being attracted to someone, or enjoying their company enough that almost anything you do with them is fun/enjoyable etc, is the most important thing to me by far. I don't find guys physically attractive, but I would rather "date" a guy that I had that connection with over a girl I didn't.

It's super rare (at least for me) to find anyone like that though, I have lucked out a few times in my life though, so far.
