| kind9 02/17/18 7:20:34 AM #2 | Maybe you can still boot in safe mode? Try tapping F8 right after the BIOS/logo screen goes away. Sometimes it's shift+F8. It should bring up a menu where you can choose safe mode. If it's really the boot loader then yeah you probably need that Windows disc. You could always get a live Linux distro and put it on a disc or USB and access your hard drive from there. --- |

By 2017 there were at least 2,000 games for Linux on steam(though a lot of them are shitty $1 indie games). It seems to me that more and more developers are targeting Linux. There are just too many applications(and games) that don't have good alternatives on Linux, so a lot of people have to use Windows whether they like it or not. --- |

There's just so much to explore. I don't know what the general consensus is on the settlement building thing, but I for one love it. I can spend hours just scrapping everything and building up settlements. --- |

You could go to a store, buy a game, take it home and install it and know you have the full game right there, unless/until an expansion was released. I don't know how anyone can argue that that's not preferable to having to continually fork out money for DLC and microtransactions just to get a full game. Some games don't go overboard on DLC though so it's not all bad. --- |

It's a post-apocalyptic wasteland and that's what it looks like. It seems like Bethesda took that 50's-60's sci-fi vibe of the Fallout games and did more with it in this game, so maybe people see that as a bit "cartoon-ish" and that's where the bright and cheery remarks come from. --- |
