Some of the videos are bad, yes. But, most of the time, someone has made a more direct video. Also, I think CTRL+F is awesome, but it definitely depends on what youre looking for. It could be something somewhat common or something that appears multiple times. It could also be something that you wouldnt know how to search for. Like having to find a specific item, but you dont know what its called. I think having both option available is the best way to go about it. Or all, technically. Having regular faqs, the boards, Reddit, YouTube videos, wikis, etc. make it easier to have multiple ways to find out what you want to know.

If all I can find is a video then of course I'm still grateful. Sometimes they even write the instructions out in the description so I don't have to watch the video. I just think it's always easier/quicker to skim through a document than to skim through a video. FAQs, forums and wikis are really all you need. I would say videos are more suitable for entertainment or long training courses. For me, anyway.

Sarcasm, but I got to believe the "it's 2019, get with the times and just enjoy these videos!" crowd honestly believes this....so then it's not really good sarcasm anymore.

You could always scrub the video. And may be able to find something faster that way...

True enough. Of course with a giant text document you could just as easily use a ToC if there is one, or CTRL+F.

But honestly my sarcastic comment mainly comes from my frustration trying to find tutorials for certain software. Often times I want to learn how to do something very specific which I know could be summed up in a few lines of text, but instead everyone wants to make videos just because they can I guess. I find that videos don't make good reference material either because you have to watch at the pace of the video.

Interesting. Mine is at 18.1GB. I'm sure drivers go into the Windows folder. I know Win10 also has a ton of bloat in the form of shitty apps that Microsoft desperately wants you to want. Not sure if those sit somewhere in the Windows folder. I believe I uninstalled all or most of them anyway.

You could try a program like WinDirStat to find out what is taking up the most space.

Lol, are you really gonna try to claim this when addiction most certainly runs in families? Because you are definitely at higher risk for alcoholism if your father/mother/grandparents were alcoholics

You misunderstand.

If everyone in my entire bloodline were alcoholics, that doesn't mean I am. I am only an alcoholic by becoming dependent on alcohol.

Sure, I may be at higher risk because of my genetics, but that certainly doesn't make me one by default.

What's so hard to understand here?

But you previously said you can't develop addiction as a result of genetics. A hard statement. Now you're saying you may be at higher risk because of genetics. So which is it?

I disagree with free-will, but primarily as free+will as a concept is debated so I don't think it's reasonable to be brought in to medical discussion. I'd reword it as highly impaired brain function afflicting pleasure and pain perception.

I believe free-will there means the conscious ability to simply stop using. The addiction sort of takes that over, according to the research I found. I just want to know if you accept that, and if not, why?

I wasn't citing a scientific paper, but one of the articles I found on google searching "addiction as a disease".

Really? I would have thought that at the time it was classified as a disease public opinion would have largely considered addiction to be a weak and immoral choice. Perhaps if he took the time to manually configure a firewall he could be better protected.

So did the cameras connect to his computer first, or did they just connect directly to external servers? Or were they just completely unsecured and open to anyone over the internet that happened to know their IP?

Now I just want to know more.

I don't know but I assume it goes through his home internet via his router, which could be configured to allow only a set range of IPs through to the camera. I think that would be enough to deter most people. But then I guess the device he uses to remotely access the camera could also be hacked... And @DPsx7 is probably right that software vulnerabilities could also potentially be exploited to gain access. Somehow I doubt that was the case here though.

In addition to seasons being too long with filler episodes, shows like TWD have just gone on too long period. It's on what, nine seasons now? Shows tend to run out of ideas and start to decline in quality after four or five seasons. TWD has been pretty bad for years now because it has been going on too long. I lost interest in it long ago. I finally dropped it this season Rick being replaced by Judith. Judith is as annoying as Carl, in my opinion, and I just couldn't stand watching this trainwreck of a show anymore.

Judith didn't replace Rick. She was only in the one episode after he left. From what I've read Daryl is meant to be the new big shot after Rick. Him and Carol. Regardless, I totally understand why you'd be burned out on the show at this point.
