Golden Sword spin attacks perfectly timed can skip the last phase of the Gannon fight. It is EXTREMELY difficult but most of the best players can do it. Saves about a minute off speed runs.

In The Chest? That is normal.

Yeah, Diplopia in the initial room of The Chest is one of the strongest plays you can make with it if you have the keys. The other top tier plays is to use it in Boss Rush, a Devil Room with at least two items, on in one of the double treasure rooms on the Hush floor.

The actual objectively best is probably to use it in a black market but those are extremely rare and the odds of encountering one while holding Diplopia is extremely low lol

I'm not actually sure you need to beat Greed mode to unlock God head actually, since that wasn't a think in Rebirth.

They actually made it harder to unlock in Afterbirth. You need to fill out The Lost's ENTIRE POST-IT NOTE on hard mode to unlock it now.

I just barely beat the bean challenge thanks to reusable tear burst recharging over time. Most of these challenges I'm only able to beat thanks to lucky drops

What are some ways to use 9 lives that make it good because it doesn't really seem great to me

The biggest use is to trade it for Devil Deals, even if it kills you. If you have less red hearts than a deal costs you will take the deal and be left with only spirit hearts. If you have no spirit hearts and trade away all your red hearts you just die... But with 9 lives you pop back up, deal intact, and keep rolling. Also extremely good with the Potato Peeler or Guppy's Paw. Or any combo of items that makes it easy to stack up spirit hearts, like Gimpy and/or Dark Bum. Basically it is less about survivability (if something killed you from full HP it will probably kill you when you respawn with 1 HP) and more about enabling you to make some extremely risky plays because you know you'll have several more chances to make it work out. Protip: If carrying 9 Lives and expecting that you might die soon (Like on purpose for a devil deal or something), leave any spirit hearts and HP items alone until AFTER you die. Then restock and continue on your way.

Aside from that, its one of the many Guppy items that can enable to extremely broken Guppy transformation. Typically becoming Guppy is more or less an instant win, depending on your item loadout.

Yeah, that one and Waka Waka are both worth holding down R to reset until you get some good starting items. Its a bit of a crapshoot with no Item Rooms, though. Basically hoping for good secret rooms/shops. BFF, either of the watch items, and the Boomerang from the shop are all really good for Solar System. Magic Fingers is surprisingly good for Solar System as well. For Waka Waka, you basically want a Devil Room with either Mom's Knife or Brimstone

I just unlocked jera the other day and have wasted a few good times to use it. I leave it on the ground then out of habit pick up good shit like soul hearts before I can use jera on them

Nah mate, you carry the Jera with you till the Chest. In case you didn't know, all chests down there drop items, and the first room has 4. Double them and you get 8 free items. If you have Taroth Cloth, you get 16. If you have blank car you break the game.

Jera is love, Jera is life bro. Learn to use it right. In the main game, the best general use is to drag it to The Chest and double the chests there if you have enough keys. All chests in The Chest spawn items pedestals 100%. This includes Fortune Tellers and Slot Machines if you blow them up. Jera before you open the chests = 2x the items.

In Greed mode, use it after you've wiped out all the waves for a floor. Even better, get Blank Card and use your active item as frequently as possible to see your cash flow skyrocket.
