Real response for a second.

As time goes by, I've come to realize that I'm not attracted to women so much as the female aesthetic. So genitals matter to me less than looking and acting like a "traditional" woman. Like, there are some YT channels who do skits and despite it literally being a dude in a wig with a 5 oclock shadow I'm like "Oh shit, she's hot" because they do a feminine personality.

So yeah, the "perfect" woman but she has a dick? Absolute win in my book.

Israel as a country sucks (because they consistently treat all Palestinians as terrorists). Hamas as a terrorist organization sucks. The country of Palestine is not great.

Unfortunately you have a shit ton of civilians stuck between the terrorist organization of Hamas and Israel who constantly get caught in the crossfire. It is definitely "both sides" in that everyone with a platform in the region fucking sucks. That does nothing to help the people who just want to live their day-to-day lives.

Which sucks because their app is the only way to get tolerable pricing from McDonalds anymore.

There is a simple solution to this: Quit fucking shopping at places that are being blatantly grossly anti-consumer. If everyone in the world deleted the McDonald's app over this and stopped shopping there, McDonald's would be forced to pursue a more traditional marketing path instead of trying to force users to use their app. Unfortunately the offer of "free fries Friday" or what the fuck ever is too much temptation for the average person. In exchange for pennies on the transaction McDonald's gets to streamline their ordering, reduce the number of cashiers they need, and protect themselves from liability in one fell swoop. Anyone pitching a fit about self checkout should be far, far more upset by the trend towards app-based sales.

The game's pretty non-linear as you progress, so just saying what fight you're currently on isn't a good indicator of overall progress.

For what it's worth, the Hornet rematch isn't even a required battle to beat the game IIRC, but it is necessary for the better endings.

This. Only about 20% of the game is "required", at best, even without fancy movement tricks. You don't even need all the core movement/traversal powers. Its been awhile since I played but IIRC if you're at the Hornet re-fight then you have double jump and that alone can get you damn near everywhere in the game. If you've got that you can pretty much bee-line to the Dreamers without much difficulty.

Even getting the "good" ending only requires like 30% of the game or so. It basically adds 2 extra sections that are more plot heavy and combat light (no bosses in either one).

I've played a few games where it made sense and didn't feel as obtrusive as a popcorn kernel stuck under your gums. Don't Starve/Together comes to mind, where virtually everything has durability. The game labels it self as an "Uncompromising Survival" game and follows up on that pretty well. A core philosophy of the game is making due with what you can find so you can build up to better things. The game very deliberately does not want players to get comfortable and pushes them to not become complacent and item durability is a big part of that. Your tools WILL break so you need to keep looking for more crafting mats. Your weapons and armor WILL break as you are being hunted so you better find new sources of gear. You WILL run out of food unless you keep going further afield to forage or start farming.

Ive been saying that its a training issue for decades. Every time I hear unarmed black man shot by cops I reiterate that rules of engagement and trigger discipline enforcement like we had in the military would have prevented this. But those kinds of things require training. Letting cops patrol without ANY training is just irresponsible!

Like, US Armed Forces basic E6's have better fire discipline literally just out of basic in active war zones at 18/19 years old than veteran cops have dealing with unarmed civilians. Training fucking matters

I did a paper on this exact thing in college about a decade ago and that first section of the meme is *extremely* misleading.

... It shows the average number of training hours in the US is 500. That means tallying up every police department in the country and averaging them out it works out to 500. What it *doesn't* show is how big a disparity inside the US it can be. For instance, on the upper end Connecticut requires over 1100 hours of training. Hawaii requires 0. Many states allow you to work between 6 months and a year as a beat cop before you are required to complete basic training. Many states require 0 field training shifts. Here's a site that breaks it down state by state:

https://www.trainingreform.org/state-police-training-requirements

Looking through them, you can see a direct correlation between higher training standards and lower deaths for both civilians and police, with a few outliers (Hawaii is justified in their 0 training hours, lol. Ain't nobody dying out there).

Naturally, Mississippi is leading the charge in fucking this up with well below the average training hours, 0 field training hours, well below the average training hours required each year for officers out of basic, cops can work up to 2 goddamn years without finishing training, and obviously the highest deaths per capita of any first world country. Honestly, I know people kinda joke about the police being the largest gang in the country but with those shitty training stats in Mississippi it isn't really joking tbh

This is some fucking cope lmao. Never even heard a rumor of an NES/SNES/Genesis/PS1/PS2/N65/GC/Etc controller doing anything except working pretty much perfectly. It is only with the most recent gens that "drift" has ever happened, and while I hear about it happening occasionally to Sony/Microsoft controllers it seems to happen to every pair of Joycons ever made. I'm on my third iteration of drifting joycons at this point. The OG ones with my first and second Switch, and now the repaired ones from my first Switch are failing. There's a reason Nintendo offers to fix them for no charge, even paying the shipping to do so. Otherwise they'd risk a class-action lawsuit.

Nope. People pearl clutching over an alt right idiot possibly getting the Speaker position do not understand how this works. McCarthy was allowed to appoint his own pro temp stand in if this scenario (or any other scenario where he was unable to fill his role of Speaker) happened. Unless a successful election happens that gent will be acting Speaker for the forseeable future. "Moderate" GOP members have literally no reason to vote for someone crazy just to fill the seat because one of their men is already filling it, and the Democrats would light themselves on fire before they voted for a domestic terrorist. So what will happen is largely business as usual except the MAGA crowd will now be putting forth motions to let Trump be Speaker probably every single day and those motions will fail. Its gonna be hilarious.

I was maybe 13 or 14 and went with my sister, her sister in law, and niece.

The sister in law has a twist tie in her fettuccine. She told the server who apologized and said "the meals come prewrapped in plastic with those twist ties on before they're reheated". They gave her another serving and let her keep the original.

The food is made, twist tied in plastic wrap, and reheated when ordered.

Chef here. Let me preach on it.

Short version: Authentic pasta dishes take FOREVER to prep and do not hold well. Noodles aren't too bad (good italian places use something that looks like a deep fryer but filled with water to fast-cook noodles) but anything like lasagna etc is definitely gonna be pre-made or have a VERY long wait time compared to most other entrees. As a result, most dishes are in fact pre-made. This is a very common industry practice.

That said, there are different levels of "pre-made". On the worst end of the spectrum, the entire dish is fully assembled and frozen, then microwaved to thaw it out and ran thru an oven to "finish" it before it is plated. The middle of the road is what is described here. The dish is fully prepped at the beginning of dinner service and held chilled (but not frozen) until ordered at which point is it reheated and served. The best way of doing it, and the way most high end places do it, is all of the ingredients are pre-prepped but not assembled. So for a lasagna the meat is fully cooked and held hot, noodles are par cooked (IE cooked al dente where you would normally cook lasagna noodles til soft), sauce is cooked and held hot. Then when ordered the dish is assembled and slapped in an oven until the cheeses melt and the noodles finish softening.

The reason more places don't do this is because if not enough of the dishes are ordered than are prepped then you have to waste out the ingredients at the end of the night. The first method, freezing dishes, you can keep the dish for weeks until someone orders it. In the second case it can be frozen at the end of service or even held for a day or two. The final method, however, the hot-held ingredients can only be kept for about 4 hours before they have to be trashed. Corporate kitchens DO NOT like wasting out food

If it was about babies we'd have universal maternal care. There would be no charge no matter how complex the delivery. But its not about babies, is it?
