Also wanted to point out that Soul Calibur 2 wasn't the only game that did well on the Gamecube, but the next sequel appeared on the PS2. Tales of Symphonia was their best selling Tales game, at the time, and Tales of Legendia only got released on the PS2 still.

True, this is kinda weird that so many games sold better on the gamecube despite the ps2 being the best selling of all time.

Honestly Soul Calibur's popularity peaked with 2.

They didn't do the series any favors going exclusive with 3. Alienating Nintendo and Xbox fans.

Then 4, while good, added Star Wars characters, who just did not fit the style or theme of the series at all.

Then 5 was just all around mediocre and lacking single player content.

So the series has been struggling for a while. I don't think it's dead yet, though.

Them ignoring Nintendo console feels so weird to me since I know so many people who played it for the first time when they saw Link in SC2

Same, which is why it makes me sad to see SC5 and SC6 not be very popular. I tried out other fighting games between those two (because I didn't think SC6 would happen) including Tekken, and I didn't like any of them nearly as much as I liked SC.

I feel like Season 8 could have been fine, it was just missing a lot of the charm that made the rest of the series so good.

If I told you how the series ended when you were on like, season 4, it wouldn't really be ridiculous. You'd probably go "oh wow that sounds cool, I can't wait to see how they get there", but season 8 cut out a lot of the "how they got there" part.

I also think there was never an ending that would have done the White Walker storyline any justice and also provided a worthwhile ending for the show.

And in everything besides the poor writing, everything else was still 100% on point until the last minute. Really underlines how much one section not pulling its weight can drag the whole thing down.

Yeah the problems in itself is not the events themselves, but how rushed they felt. A season centered about Daenerys being the mad queen would have been excellent, but now she just becone crazy.

It was ridiculously bad. It was very obvious the writers wanted to get rid of game of throne and start another project

If all he did at first was just hacking them fine. But the blackmail thing was really going too far. My own grandmother was victim of blackmail by scammers and I saw the massive trauma it infliced on her when she was already close to her death.

Gameplay was ok, problem was no side content til the end and it was all monster hunts anyway. Also not a very strong story.

It doesn't help that the game felt almost like a corridor. Yeah... FFX was also linear, but you still had exploration. I do admit that I would love a FFx remake with bigger more modern maps

I actually started feeling bad at one point for her. Peter being an asshole and her being bullied at school was a thing, but when all other members of her family started treating her like crap I could not help, but feel like they have overdone the joke. I was so proud of her in the episode she got out of jail and stood up for herself.
