When the company changed hands again last year and the new team updated the site it apparently hit a new user peak, and had it's highest revenue since 2017.

Somehow it's more popular now than it was back then.

Medvedev replaced him, originally positioned himself as west friendly, then did a 180 and changed the constitution so Putin could regain power. Then Putin's inner circle convinced him to become way more conservative than he was during his first two terms, and now you have the monster we have today.

I miss "Liberal" Putin. Sure he was still an autocrat, but I can't help but wonder what happened to the Putin who used to crack jokes with Obama at world leader gatherings.

They aren't. It's the same guessing game people have been playing for almost two decades.

I started posting on CE in 2006, and when CJayC left the following year people were guessing that the site would end by the end of that year.

Never was my thing but was friends with a couple Bronies in college. They were relatively normal people. Nerdy sure, but nothing weird like what you see online. Hell one of them even has a kid now and the other is married.

IMO Bronies were never as bad as Sonic fans during the DeviantArt era. The only real offensive thing about the fandom is how many of them randomly went far right during the Trump years. Like really far right too, not just regular GOP/CPC etc. voters.

I personally loved it.

Me and my Dad were huge into classic cars, true crime and WWII history when I was a kid, so you can imagine my joy at the in game vehicle selection, and the story itself.

It isn't really a GTA clone so if you go into it expecting that you'll be disappointed. It's probably the best police procedural game ever made, albeit that's not a high bar.

If it's cheap on Steam give her a spin.

Allowing the state to remove red tape for zoning laws is bad. You cannot just build wherever and throw your hands up in the air in an attempt to solve the housing issue.

Giving these developers a free pass to build whatever, whenever, isn't good for people who already live there full time. Hell I only live there part time and still think it's poorly thought out. This isn't just a NIMBY thing, it doesn't just affect retirees twiddling their thumbs in Sun City.

My favorite part is where the plane phased through the light poles without damaging them.

I don't expect a reply, but i think it's probably good to express distaste in things a politician does. NIMBYs who attend zoning meetings and harass local politicians about things like this understand that and enable anti housing policies to pass.

Look, I don't like the NIMBY's either. They're the reason the arena deal fell through last year and that would have been a huge economic boom for the metro instead of having a landfill sitting there taking up valuable space.

But again, this bill is a rush job, and there's a better way to do it.

Hobbs has been nothing but good for the State since taking office. If this ends up being her one blunder, so be it. The good far outweighs the bad she's done.

Never been to Vail so I can't comment, but Marana is exactly the size it should be. It's not exactly a bustling tourist trap or business center, it's a farming and hiking community in the middle of the Saguaro Reserve.

Residents having a say in their community is why we're in this situation in the first place. Residents should not be able to dictate what type of housing I want to buy or live in. If we can't pass something as simple as removing minimum lot and home sizes to allow for denser homes, how will we ever pass laws to increase multi family zoning? You can't central plan your way out of this crisis. We need homes to get built. All types of homes, all sizes, everywhere.

Homes are already being built rapidly on the outskirts in places like Casa Grande and the San Tan Valley.

You ignored half my post. Why should developers be able to just build willy nilly and pass any restriction they want? That's how you end up with shoddy work and more urban sprawl, which again, the metro already struggles with.

This is actually a good veto.

This bill was a quick fix solution that could prevent local residents from having a say in their communities, and would allow developers free reign to build at will with no real plan, and the metro has enough urban sprawl as it is.

This dude been president since 24 years ago. Well there is a 4 years gap in 2008-2012, but he's the de facto president while his puppet Medvedev becomes the de jure President.

To be fair, when Medvedev was first elected he seemed to be aiming for better relations with the west.

Yes and no. The opposition is definitely systemic and has no real chance to win, but the Communist Party is legitimately popular in parts of the Russian far east. Lot of fossils in Russia who want to go back to the Soviet era. Helps that they generally support Putin on most issues.

As I said earlier the real surprise of the election is New People coming on third over the LDPR who usually finish third in local Russian elections. Supposedly Putin regrets letting Vladislav Davankov run and tried to replace him at the last second since hes young and vaguely anti war, but didnt have enough time to find a Putin stooge to replace him. Really worried for that dudes safety unlike the other two token candidates.

Fake election aside, it's quite telling that New People obtained so many votes despite technically being an anti war party.

Putin is going to be furious that he let him run. If I were Davankov I'd be doing what Ksenia Sobchak did and getting the fuck out of the country.

Again, I'm speaking from a Canadian perspective. We don't have the death penalty, but I wish we did for these whack jobs that are not only clearly guilty, but proud of their crimes.

All three of the lunatics I mentioned would all be on death row if they lived in Texas. But because they committed the crimes in Canada, one is eligible for extremely strict day parole, and the other two recently were moved down to medium security prison, despite having whole life orders. To me, that's unacceptable.

Those concepts changed a lot over time, you wont find many leftists who advocate for it.

I've spent most of my life voting for the green party (The Canadian version, not the crazy US model), and I'm pro death penalty.

There's some absolute scumbags up here that I wish could be put down. (Paul Bernardo, Willie Pickton, Luka Magnotta etc.) My only caveat is that is has to be beyond a reasonable doubt.

I tend to think most police shootings are justified. There's exceptions of course and bad cops should be punished, but I don't shed any tears when a career criminal ends up as swiss cheese.

One of those games I've always known about but wasn't allowed to play as a kid because it was M rated.

Just gave the PC remaster a spin for the first time, and holy hot damn, this game is ridiculously hard.

I'm playing on the normal skill, but I'm getting my shit pushed in, and can't even figure out how to beat the first level.

I know games were harder in the 90's, but I don't envy the poor souls who had to play this back then with the N64 controller.

All that said however, still really enjoying shooting dinosaurs with a shotgun, so I definitely want to keep at it.

Alabama is number one on beautiful places that have been ruined by absolute idiots. Such a shame.
