Yeah this is basically my stance. Im fine with late term abortions if its health related for either the mother or child, but if youre getting back door late term abortion because you changed your mind 8 months in, that seems a bit questionable.

There's a disturbing number of posters in this topic (and Americans in general) who believe that the number of women who are willing to go through 6-8 months of pregnancy - and all the morning sickness, physical strain, mood swings, lifestyle restrictions, and ever-growing instinctual attachment to the life they're nurturing that entails - just to say 'lol I changed my mind' at the finish line is remotely significant enough to dictate abortion policy.

That girl in Nebraska a few months back who got one at 38 weeks or whatever because she changed her mind last minute is going to be ammo for the right for years to come.

IMO something like that is unacceptable, but like you said its so rare that it shouldnt affect the law itself for everyone else because one girl waffled.

Can't say I envy him too much. He's constantly getting waxed by 10 hour online assignments and all night studying. UBC is no joke. If the University of Toronto is our Harvard, UBC is our Yale.

Real estate prices were god awful in BC long before he came along.

Not surprising at all as someone who's spent half his life in BC.

BC housing costs are California levels of insanity, and Alberta, despite it's faults, has way more affordable options. Add in the frequent flyer shit that's available nowadays and it's a no brainer.

Hell if it wasn't for Marlaina's insane government and the miserable cold I'd consider Alberta myself.

Agreed. And while we're at it, we need to convince people we know to do the same as well. It's all about raising voter turnout enough to help thwart the GOP in multiple races.

Been trying to convince my relatives in Texas to vote D. 1st cousin is originally from Canada so hes an easy flip, his wife on the other hand is a tough sell. Wish I had US citizenship so I could help out.

My best friend is from the smart phone generation and currently attending engineering school. If he fucked around on his phone all day he wouldn't be a junior.

Hell even when I was in high school when phones still had slide out keyboards people had short attention spans, myself included. I remember playing NES Ice Hockey on an emulator in my accounting class instead of doing what I should have been doing more often than not.

It's always been tough to get students to focus at any level of education.
