TBF, at least on this board, nobody saying that deserved to have their opinion taken seriously.

I don't really venture much in politics outside of this board admittedly because what little I do in IG comments makes me regret it as there are some despicable ass people in that and IG seems pretty cool with it, yet if you try to address them and their behavior with the proper terminology you get advisements about having your comment removed or they just prevent you from even making it.

Can't call some saying racist/bigoted stuff a racist/bigot, however if they "word it properly" their racist/bigoted comment may be one of the most liked comments, so pretty high up in the comments section, because of other bigots liking it.

There were a few other token candidates on the ballot to give the thinnest impression of an actual democratic election, but nobody who represented any real challenge to Putin's rule.

Alexei Navalny, who had significant popular support as an opposition leader against Putin, had been imprisoned since 2021 and died in prison last month.

In Russian occupied parts of Ukraine people were literally being forced at gunpoint to vote for Putin.

Putin has been in power since 1999.

If anyone is suspicious of the results, don't worry, I'm sure Putin will have his people investigate themselves and find they did nothing wrong.

Rosa Parks was taking a big risk too. Someone has to step up to get a movement going.
That said, yeah, it's definitely very dangerous for them to do so. But also pretty damn brave.

It's crazy how the world knows it's a sham but still treat with him anyway as if he's a legitimate leader.

Wouldnt it have been easier to just make up random statistics rather than involve a human element? If they are going to fake an election, just come out and say you won, its inefficient to force people to vote for you
