Why does everyone just been like one of four things? Why isn't there there a shit ton of different things people can bend? I don't care about fire, water, air and earth. I want to bend... snakes or... vodka or spiders or like... teleporting guns and rocket launchers to my hands or other cool shit like that, not just boring "four elements" stuff and they aren't even real elements. Nitrogen and platinum and polonium are real elements. Being able to bend polonium would be awesome. You could poison the FUCK outta people and they wouldn't be able to do a god damn thing about it. That shit is super deadly... almost as bad as botox but not quite. Still I would rather have that power than fire or water etc.

feel free to write your own series where people can manipulate those elements. it sounds kinda interesting at least

You really think so? I kind of got the impression that the Fire nation were based on ww2 Japan, so they would be supremacists and look down on anyone not of pure fire blood line. Plus the show kind of portrayed it as every nation is homogenously divided and fights against the other, that being the Fire nation since they instigated the war.

regardless of the intent and validity of the posts about white genocide, whites are not systemically disadvantaged. there is no historical precedent for a white genocide, and there is no chance of it actually happening.

You can go on twitter and find white moms talking about how they keep putting down their own sons to remind them of their own privilege. If you keep putting them down, especially the next generation, you'll end up with a demographic of folks who have no vested interest in society. This makes them prone to be completely disengaged or they'll lash out against society in violent ways.

reminding someone that they come from a position of privilege is not the same thing as putting them down. which are they doing?

If you want a successful and thriving society, you have to build up and support your fellow people. It's the heart of game theory. It's how the bitcoin network is so bloody successful, where everyone has an incentive to work together, it's how different groups and nations get ahead and create generational wealth. Even something as basic as games, groups that share information with one another and support each other collectively advance further than others.Telling people to "check their privilege" and constantly putting them down and making them feel left out doesn't help anyone and is detrimental to society.

it sounds like you're talking about isolated cases of parental abuse. either that or you're making stuff up.

They knew it was wrong, but they also knew if they outlawed slavery in the Constitution then the south would tell them to fuck off and never ratify it. Basically itmwas more important at the time to keep the people united and form a government and deal with slavery at a later date. Yes it sucks for those that were slaves, but the alternative was a possible civil war even earlier and/or Britain invading again while the nation was divided and infighting.
