I like TLJ. It at least developed all of the characters. The weakest parts of TLJ are still better than the entire whole of Rise of the Skywalker.

I also agree that it felt like a cheap filler episode which is more than disappointing considering it was supposed to be the final episode in the trilogy and cap off this part of the story.

When you're watching The Last Jedi, just remember that it's not like other Star Wars films. It is incredibly artistic, almost to the point where you have to be paying complete attention to it to even remotely understand it. I remember watching a part in TLJ (though I can't remember which it was), where I thought a scene was absolute bollocks during the watch. Then, I closed my eyes for a second, and all of a sudden the scene had an entirely new meaning. It was insane the way The Last Jedi could just become something so different when you take a look into the scenes.

Another thing you should note about The Last Jedi is that it's easy to get a headache watching it. Not because it's a bad movie, but because of how many ideas it is riddled with and how complex it is. Soon enough your head will fill to the brim and the rest will just sound like noise to you. Just turn it off and give it a watch the next day.

If you don't like the movie, you'll definitely at least enjoy looking at the Blu-ray cover, and picking apart the image itself and all of the artistic values that go into making it the complexity that it is.

Doctors actually recommend that you don't watch TLJ and Rick and Morty in the same day, as the human mind wasn't meant to expand that quickly.

It barely feels like a Star Wars movie to me, besides the visuals obviously. The prank call between Poe and Hux at the beginning and Hux getting tossed around like a ragdoll sets such an awkward tone right off the bat and it never really recovers.

Rian Johnson can direct action scenes very well, Ill give him that.

I loved it, I still love it now. Lukes journey in the movie was great. I kinda wished he was featured more in the movie

Rise of Skywalker is better than The Last Jedi but only because it actually managed to tick off some of the boxes of competent storytelling, like havi g structure, having foreshadowing and establishing stuff before it is critically important.

8's individual pieces were a lot better though.
