I did also manage to get an Ancient Ecke Sachs from Twin Elements as well. I don't understand why its stats are so low though, at level 40 and SSR rarity it's worse raw stat wise than some level 30 SRs I have.

A 0* Ancient Ecke Sachs is actually better than a MLB cane, generally speaking. It's stats are horrible, but it essentially has 3 skills, and one of them is enmity. And enmity is a GIGANTIC boost in damage in this game. Losing a few hundred attack is absolutely worth the extra skills. I run three Ecke Sachs in my fire grid despite it MLB only having 1600 attack, and fire is my strongest element at the moment because of them.

That's actually some rather impressive luck getting it to drop. I farmed up the regular Ecke Sachs one half BP event, and 1500~ TE leeches got me 3 AES. For comparison, i got 12 ES. They have really really low drop rates.

AES is the kind you want, too. AES is magna, ES is primal. They're otherwise pretty much the same. They form the backbone of the basic primal grid and are a step above the basic magna grid.

I have this! And, unless I am mistaken, it is currently a part of a Sekai Project sale on Steam for anybody who is interested in it.

I totally forgot to mention that's where I got it from. Well, a friend got the bundle but already had it so they gave me their key, so I figured I'd read a bit right away since I heard it was pretty legit.

It is VERY legit. It's like 999 and Ever17 with the trapped schtick, but all of the characters are great, the mystery is abundant, and you're thrown directly into the action in the beginning of the first arc. All of the plot twists are fairly foreshadowed and it has some extremely touching scenes.

nope! it starts at 1, which sucks butt. I think it's still a sizable boost even at SL3-5 though, which shouldn't be terribly hard to accomplish

you probably won't for a while, either. proto bahamut HL has been powercreeped, but it's still technically the 2nd hardest raid in the game. to the point that having most of the raid be spartans (t4 holy sabers) is practically a requirement because if you take a single round of attacks without at least 70% cut up, someone will die, because pbaha triple attacks for 10k each hit later in the fight. for a quarter of the fight, the overdrive ougi will kill you unless you have 100% damage cut (95% will STILL cause 50k damage) and the non-OD ougi deals random hit flat damage that is completely unaffected by damage cuts- four random hits, and it hitting the same party member twice is guaranteed death. for another quarter of the fight, those two moves are reversed.

it's incredibly unforgiving so you shouldn't even consider the coda upgrades for quite a while >__>

four 0* claws will allow you to do obscene damage with zooey, enmity is pretty broken in this game for short fights if you have her

claws are also one of the highest priorities for using pendants on, because they have a very low drop rate but you can trade for as many as you want (2 a month, but it resets... unlike chevalier swords, which is 7 ever)

Reduce both, yeah. If you can't afford it now, buy a stash and throw them all in there. They'll actually be increasing the sizes of each stash from 100 to 200 sometime this month, too.

Co-op drives me bonkers. I'm stalled on a quest in the second group of quests cause people just enter my lobby then leave immediately. Even super high ranks just leave. I have unlocked 4 of the extra classes for purchase, but only purchased the drum master one so far and have it up to level 18 right now. Will be glad when I get my bonus and don't have to play it anymore. If it didn't make the mc so weak it would be alright.

Want me to run you through right now? I'm pretty sure I can solo everything at this point. @dragon504

As much dama crystals as you can farm without burning out, yeah. They're pretty gated in the fact that you only get 3 per story event. The weapon sucks, the summon isn't worth using, character's fantastic but easy to get. Save your energy for the upcoming Fenrir and Cerberus event on the 9th. It only comes back about twice a year, and Fenrir Bows are part of what makes Varuna grids busted (and we'll be getting a free weaker primal for anniversary; varuna's probably the best choice). The Cerberus guns are also really good for Hades, though Hades takes way too much investment to get stronger than magna dark... meanwhile a very basic Varuna grid will perform on the level of magna water.

Think it takes 363 points to 100% get to level sl10 from sl1. I have enough stuff to get my revenant gun to sl10 and still have stuff left over, but I don't need to raise its skill level yet. Yeah, don't bother skilling the gun until you actually need it. The gun isn't a fantastic mainhand (until fully awakened... and even then you'll eventually break it if you go for Esser 5* so you don't wanna put bullets into it), the GW character grind is a very long one, and grid's a lot more important. 5 to 7 on canes sounds good. You can also start raising them one at a time if you feel like it, because you're gonna probably be using one SL2 SSR fodder to go from 6 to 10. getting to SL6 or SL7 before using SSR fodder is fine though, depending on how much SR to SSR fodder you have.

Nirvana, Oliver, Nebuchad. Nirvana is probably the best, because granting autorevive to the main character when you use Panacea is pretty nuts. Oliver doesn't need to be fully upgraded to gain it's leeching benefits, and Nebuchad requires a lot of bullet farming to be great (and arguably isn't better than T4 classes anyways).

You can also go for Ascalon. Useless weapon, but sword stones are extremely common and it's a slightly faster ticket to T4. Guess it's less of an issue now that the first copy you make costs less though...

Well that was pretty awesome. Some super kind soul dragged my ass through a ton of co-op quests in Granblue Fantasy. I only had the first 8 missions done on normal, but thanks to them, I now have the other 8 normal quests and all of the hard quests completed. Now I just need to do the extra quests, which I have to do anyway, but now I at least have access to host them. It's a shame their name was in moon runes. I thanked them in English, but they seemed to understand at least and I left with a sayonara.

Gonna see how far I am from unlocking extra classes, since I could use the passive boosts from them.

yeah, people are generally pretty willing to carry you in coop if you're willing to host (and you have to host if you're trying to unlock more stages; someone else hosting the stage you need doesn't clear it for you too)

extra classes are pretty nice for the stats; off the top of my head, I think samurai had an attack related boost that was really worth it, and mechanic has dmg cap up (which is an EXTREMELY valuable stat in gbf, because it boosts skill damage potential as well as autos)

mechanic doesn't actually need coop completion, by the way. dancer and drum master either. they seemed to want to move away from coop unlocking classes. all 3 are really worth picking up. dancer lets you do shenanigans like forcing your other 3 party members to copy your attack turn (including letting everyone ougi even if they don't have meter lol), drum master is ougi-centric and boosts them better than t3 warrior line (not as good as t4 though) and additionally plays a super manly song after you ougi, and mechanic is a diverse bag of tricks. for those of us with t4 classes it just has a few specific uses, but I imagine it's really fun to play around with for weaker players.

those specific uses are great, though. you can eventually force Strike Time (start with 100% charge; it's a crew thing) anytime you want instead of just 2 hours out of the day, and it's also a free way to output flat damage. flat damage is essentially a ticket to efficient grinding.

unfortunately, while it's free in that it doesn't require the gacha, it DOES require some other materials you won't have easy access to. the flat damage module requires a proto bahamut HL horn (minimum rank to join is 101, but uhhh... you won't be joining till much later probably), and the strike time module requires a silver centrum (you CAN get these before 100 from grand order hosts, but they're fairly rare and you need to spend 3 to access t4 classes)

the only old extra classes worth actively using are swordmaster (if you have specific swords, usually gacha), gunslinger (after an intense grind that's honestly not worth it), assassin (if you have a lot of $$$ to throw at the game.....), and wiseman (solely for farming stuff slightly quicker, cuz it makes your attack aoe)

Wind is arguably the strongest magna grid and is among the weaker magna bosses to fight, so probably wind. But host all of them if you can every day, especially during 1/2AP events like the one going on now. Host chance goes a LONG way towards building a base of each grid. MVP helps, but host chest is better chance.

The Tower has the best call (can do millions of damage even at SR). Most of the rest have alright calls, except Death, which is either situationally useful or just counterproductive.

The main reason to get them is their sub-aura skills. Extra offensive power from just slotting them in subsummon is VERY useful. So Sun and Devil for fire, yeah. I'm building up The Star myself, because eventually there will be characters associated with these summons, and I want the light guy. Also The Star is literally jojos.

Looks good. Find a better mainhand (the one people generally go for is the GW dagger, because it has an insane 30% double/triple attack buff to party on ougi), pray for some unknown weapons to appear in future events, and just amass more canes.

Next event has an extremely useful SR character, by the way. A bit complicated, but they're used by a lot of newer players to MVP colossus.

Ok, finally took the leap and starting skilling my canes. Have all 5 at sl5 now, with some fodder still in my inventory. Had no luck with colossus yesterday. I didn't farm it a ton, but around 15+ tries, with one hosting and not a single SSR. I've got my 4 SSR guns from unite and fight, but I'm stuck on the next step for now. I should have the mats for the third step at least, so just gotta get more scrolls, scales, and merits for step 2. I already have a level 75 rusted gun ready as well.

more risk is more possible gain, there's really no technique

the only ones who have any control over GW betting are the big conglomerations of JP crews that decide to try to rig the bets by pushing hard some days and not pushing at all others. payout rates vary depending on the number of people who bet, so there really isn't any technique. these conglomerations WANT you to bet wrong so their payout increases, so good luck getting on the inside

Naw, it's linear. Until skill level 11+, anyways. This has specific percentages: https://gbf.wiki/Weapon_Skills

Skill level everything up evenly, and uncap one at a time (40 -> 60 gives same stats as 80 -> 100, so might as well bundle the big stats in case you have to shift around your grid a bit).

Lohengrin is really bad, so you can uncap it now if you want, but you're gonna want to reduce it later for sword fragments. You get 200 per uncap level of gacha SSRs so you'll get 400 regardless, but just make sure you don't skill it too much. Weapon experience is easy to accumulate but skill fodder is a bit more precious.

Bahamut weapons are indeed pretty costly, but even at SR they're alright. They provide many times more normal attack modifier than the gacha weapons in your grid. You'll want either sword or dagger... probably dagger, because when upgraded partways, it boosts both erunes and humans (which is most characters in the game). First host of proto bahamut guarantees a horn, so you just have to get a hold of a MLB rusted weapon (easy to do if you spam angel halo very hard for a while for angel fodder for weapon experience). One nice thing to note is that when 4th anniversary event happens in a few months, we might get a "free" nearly fully upgraded bahamut weapon; that's what we got last year. It'll also give you SR Lyria character (who is extremely good for an SR and used in 1-turn setups over SSRs).

Biggest things you need now to get stronger are an EX modifier weapon (easiest way to get them is events, but otherwise, you can farm one at rank 101+ from one beginner HL raid), more skill levels on the canes, proper summon picking (set colossus as your main, and pick Shiva>Athena>any other fire summon with "boost to fire attack"), stats from MLB summons (Anat, Diablo, Ifrit are best for free), and stats from a stronger grid. You seem like you're pretty close to overcoming the cliff that is granblue noobiness actually, once you get your basic grid and skill it up you'll notice a massive leap in power.

Honors are basically scaled off of how much damage you do and the difficulty of the raid. Joining NM90 or above and doing as much as you can before dying will lead to some good honors.

It's honestly pretty worth it to empty out the first 4 boxes because they have better loot than subsequent ones, but yeah I guess as a newb, 4 boxes itself is a big hurdle... Don't think you can make it to 275 valor badges in one GW, though. I barely make more than that, and I'm in the highest tier for crews and will probably individually rank decently high.

Basically tap EX+ for meats with BP, and host nightmare (only 90 is available today) for more tokens with AP. Unless you can solo EX+, that's the best way to go about things.

Tien isn't fantastic at 4*, but the drop rate boost and guaranteed TH application is always nice to have. I maxed her out recently and she is SO GOOD at 5*. But actually farming the base character takes way, way, way more effort than just farming 4 copies of her gun. It will probably take months to complete.

Got some more Granblue questions for you.

What do I do with r summons? I'm getting kinda full and don't want to expand my summon inventory. Do I just use em as level up fodder? If that's the case, then I'm going to make a single uncapped version of each and use the rest to level summons.

What should I spend cerulean stones on? I've just been saving em in case I really need a crafting/uncap material.

Is there a good way to get a lot of rupies, since I'm slowly running out and don't have enough for the final uncap for Percival and Yuel, though i still need inferno orbs too. I'm quite tempted to use silver moons for rupies, since 2 gets me 500k and that would be a good amount to have. There's also 1 gold for a mil, but I think it'd be better to just save gold moons.

I'm currently farming the rotb event and have gotten a ray of zhuqe and the flohrenberk. Next up is the seal of zhuqe. After I've got that, it's going to be a split between the sr tickets and other things. Gotta make sure I grab all the angel fodder out of the shop before the event is over too. I'm doing the daily missions for the gold nuggets, but the shop nuggets aren't really a priority, since they gave me a gold brick already.

Fuse away R summons, they're useless. Saving cerulean stones is a good idea, yeah; I use mine when completing big grinds and there's a few mats I really don't want to grind (books/scrolls are probably the most efficient use of them though). For rupies, you want to spam coop; just doing the daily for blue sky crystal should give you enough money to be self-sufficient, but actively sliming (primary means of grinding out exp/RP) will give you abhorrent amounts of money. Absolutely don't use silver moons on them, that's super wasteful.

This current event is a pretty important one, by the way. If you can find a crew to get into, you should do so soon; you don't get crew-based rewards the day you join (event is one prelims day, then 5 finals days). Even an inactive crew can net you some participation points.

Guild wars is the primary means of obtaining the Eternals characters, all of whom are pretty strong in their base forms but can be upgraded to become absolutely monstrous in their fully uncapped form. You aren't going to be able to farm an entire eternal until you're approaching rank 100 probably (made my first at rank 80-90), but it's something to keep in mind. They're basically all super cool.



They all have really strong abilities like 100% damage cut, 60-second paralysis, atk/def debuff that surpasses the normal limit, 1m+ flat damage on one button, team buff extension, etc. At final uncap, they get a once-a-battle 4th ability that's absolutely nuts. 90 second debuff extension for all enemies (including paralysis), rapidfire random strong debuffs, +100% ougi charge for multiple turns in a row, team buff that lets you do 15m+ damage a turn... it's nuts.

Bosses are a massively different experience on the very hardest difficulty, by the way. Also all of the old bosses are on infrequent rotations, so you'll probably have to wait a week or two to actually see everything. It does get boring to just grind, though, yeah.

About the mag thing, the newest class, Hero, actually balances your mag's attack stats (if you had 200/100/0 of each attack, Hero lets you have 300 of each instead), which is extremely nice because it's mostly meant to be played as a sword/TMG/talis hybrid. Plus you can slowly respec your mag with excubes gotten from EQs.

The game is heavily centered around EQs, but on the flip side, there are a lot of different EQs to run, so the random ones are usually fun to play. But once you start caring about gear and not levels, progression flips around to be entirely centered around making money. EQs are a nice source but aren't the actual best. Spent 5 million meseta the other day pimping out my sword to be mostly good, instead of mostly terrible.

The mag thing is really unfortunate, but on the flip side, 99% of everything else can be bought with meseta. Which is mostly fashion, the true endgame of PSO2. And if you plan ahead, mags aren't that big of a deal, because you want to make 3 characters anyways, why not make them centered on different attacking stats. It's just extremely unfortunate when people yolo a mag with whatever, not knowing how they work...

I wish I had Shiva. Alexiel is nice for tanking a big hit though. Since the boosted rates gala is coming to an end, I used 1500 crystals on draws. Got lucky and got a new SSR character, Korwa and her wing of the pure, bringing me up to 8 SSR characters.

Korwa is actually literally amazing. Possibly the best overall wind buffer, in an element full of buffers. She can even be used off-element to EXTREME effect.

To use her; get up to 9 fil, use ability 2, next turn use ability 1, then when you hit 9 fil, ougi. Ougi ASAP from then on as long as both buffs stay up. 7-9 fil extends buff duration by 3 turns, so it's best to ougi then.

Korwa's buffs are strengthened and extended on ougi dependent on fil count, and even if you ougi at 10 and next ougi is at 7, you retain the 10 fil buff power. You gain 2 fil a turn, and an additional 2 fil every turn you are hit. So if you can ougi every third turn and get hit one of those turns, buffs are infinite.

...which isn't realistically achievable, so you'll probably only get 2-3 extensions off. But the magnitude of these buffs is insane. She has 125% atk up at 9 fil and 145% atk up at 10 fil. To put this into perspective; Rage IV (the strongest version of the MC atk buff) is 40% for 3 turns. Lucifer/Bahamut/etc summon calls are 20%/25% for four turns. Korwa is 145% for 5 turns at minimum, but more likely 8 or 11 turns. She also provides 40%/25% double attack/triple attack, which is super nice too. And 130% defense, which more than halves the damage you take.

She DOES take at least about 7 turns to set up, which limits her effectiveness in fights you heavily overpower. And she alone will dictate how often you get to ougi, because you can't make JUST one character ougi in granblue. But she's god mode if you can get her set up right. Even in other elements. She works especially well in magna grids too, which is what you're going to have to build as a free player, cuz her atk buff is normal modifier.

Gamewith, one of the more respected tier lists, rates her as 10/10, and the only other 10/10 is summer zooey who is broken for entirely different reasons. I spent $30 on a surprise ticket to get her and I regret nothing >_>

wow, all of your SSR characters are kind of actually extremely good. percival and yuel are considered two of the backbones of fire, halle can function as a core attacker if you provide some protection for her, silva can nuke turn 1 for massive amounts of damage (I've got her to do 4.2 million damage or so, which is more than half of colossus' HP), and Charlotta is the best of the rigged SSRs you get

I think I'm getting the hang of it, but I haven't tried skill leveling any weapons yet. I've just been saving + weapons and skill rares. Gonna focus on making a fire team, since I have two ssr characters in fire. Also have a fire carbuncle that I uncapped once, which seems like a mistake now, since having two of them would be better. Oh well, gotta make a few mistakes.

What's annoying me the most right now, is the twitter ap/ep, since I can't get it. I made a twitter account, tweeted the link once and it got locked after that for suspicious activity and I don't have a phone to unlock it. I sent support a mail, but I doubt they'll help.

Plus weapons are transferred to whatever they're fused into, so fuse them into whatever SSR weapons you use in most grids basically. You can reset them later and it just costs rupies so it's not a huge deal to respec them.

You do want to keep carbuncles separate but 1) for fire, you actually want to use water carbuncles (or whatever element you're fighting), because the defensive aspect of it is actually a damage cut, and 2) they're SR so you'll eventually get way more than you actually need.

Carbuncles' effects get upgraded to 50% at maximum limit break, which is a huge deal. You achieve this by mindlessly slaving away at the casino until you can afford moonlight stones, which uncap SR summons by one stage per stone.

Also, dunno if you know, but to focus on a fire grid, take advantage of this event to slap as many colossus omegas as you can. Colossus Staves are the basis of a beginner legit fire grid.

to raise a weapon's level, just throw anything at it, but realistically you're gonna want to throw angel/archangel weapons at it

to skill level it up (would not recommend skilling up snowflake, the drop rate boost wasn't good iirc), you have to feed it other weapons with skill levels. for SSR weapons, you need to feed it 2 SR x its level. so if it's skill level 3, feed it 6 SR weapons with skill levels. you can also start feeding it SSR weapons at skill level 5, because 1 SSR weapon is ten times as effective as an SR one. if you skill up the SSR fodder to 2 beforehand, that's all you need for skill levels 6 to 10

Overlord is super great. I read up to volume 7 a while back. They do a really great job of doing an isekai/MMO thing in a different way than .hack, Log Horizon, SAO etc did. Ainz is incredibly OP, but even more so incredibly cautious, calculating, and kind of heartless outside of friends and whims. He really has the MMO player mindset of trying out everything trying to break the rules, and it comes off as totally villainous from the perspective of everyone else.

Imo Overlord gets extremely great once the Men in the Kingdom arc starts in volume 5. Renner's my favorite character.

Have Neku spam dashes for iframes when you're focusing on the top screen, and either mash or try to memorize what to press ahead of time when you're focusing on the bottom screen. It eventually gets a lot easier with practice, especially if you used the third partner everywhere like I did. You can only focus on one screen at a time, but you can mentally "queue" up simpler tasks to perform while you're focused elsewhere.

But yes, SO3 more or less ruined the series, IMO, and the games that have followed it have not helped.

SO3 had incredible gameplay and it doesn't bother me in the least that everything is a simulation because that doesn't take away from how real it is to the characters themselves. In games with omnipotent or near omnipotent deities, does their existence automatically detract from how personal the game itself feels? Who's to say every fictional universe isn't just the result of some deity getting bored and setting up a "game"?

Plus it's been done more recently by a game that's been considered one of the best games of the past decade, (big spoilers obviously) Xenoblade.

I think the initial three commanders, Raynor, Kerrigan, and Artanis are free all the way to level 15. It is the other paid/expansion commanders that are free to only level 5. I tried playing Han/Mira last night but it crashed about 10 minutes into the game.

Ya, this has been the case. 3 for free, 4~ with LotV, the rest are $5 each. Still pretty nice, and Kerrigan's one of the stronger commanders (Artanis is kinda memey, Raynor is solid and easy). And yeah, last night had a shitload of crashes, was crashing every game it felt like. It's better now, it feels like.

I never beat first form daimon lmao. I tried when I think I was super underlevelled and it was like a 4 hour ordeal that I eventually lost via attrition. I've since spammed that dragon to like level 150 or so, so daimon is probably a joke by now.

Yeah I went from 5 to Warriors Orochi 1 to 7 to 8E. Couldn't imagine buying them all, but they're quite a bit of fun every now and then.

I just really dislike how linear they've seemed to be these days. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but 5 felt at least a bit more open-ended in how you could approach map objectives. Completing an objective in an area felt like you were helping allies secure the area, instead of everyone in your army being incompetent sandbags except for you.
