On my phone with Dualshock 4 for action oriented titles, on screen controls for slower titles like srpgs. Shinobi 3 looks as good as I remember it. I'm using lcd filter to emulate gba's screen. Then 2x upscale on psp and ps1. Kinda limited on my NDS cause the newest version hasn't been cracked yet.

I'm not. Only reason I own a 3ds is because of Monster Hunter. And I grew up on Sega. Couldn't care less if Ninty goes down rn tbh, tho that would be bad for all consumers.

Played Mario on NES (Dunno which one) back when I was a kid, can't remember being impressed. Played another Mario on SNES (the one where you can ride a Yoshi), meh. I played SNES Contra, now that's something. I have DS emu for FFTA2 and Disgaea and some other 3rd party exclusives. Do they own Advance Wars? I'm a sucker for SRPGs.

Not saying Nintendo flagship titles are bad, just too kiddie for my taste.

More power to them for bringing new ideas. Wish they'd port that Xenoblade with Mechs, that would make me buy a Switch.

What are your opinions about having a limited Item space in a game you need select items to complete missions?

Unless you look at a guide, how the hell are you supposed to know which Items you must keep and which ones will come around again?

That's something I'd call bad game design. Although to be fair, I did use a guide on that game to snatch equipment as early as possible to lategame skills, IIRC, Mithrill to get Ultima? And also missables. I often do my research on those for these kinds of games.

Anywho, I stand by my list. Spent like, 200-300 hrs on that game leveling up that stat increasing sword and armor.

Not a fan of turn-based. Feels dumb to see characters stand in a row just duke it out. At least in srpgs it has more depth, with position and elevation. That's just me tho.

MGSV may not have a stellar story but I still spent 200hrs on it.

I can no longer bear the slow start of jrpgs / srpgs I have. I've got several Tales of, Disgaea, FFTA2, Tactics Ogre. My attention span severely diminished over the years that if I don't see something interesting in the 1st couple of minutes I just turn off the game.

Which is why I've mostly play open worlds these days. Those are easy pick and play, drops you in the middle of the game and you do whatever you wanna do.

I did enjoy Monster Hunter tho since its pretty much a boss run with little to no story so you're always doing something.

I guess my tolerance for story driven games is pretty high.
