What happened was that one mod started deleting every thread criticising DICE. The sub owner demodded that mod and the mods that that mod hired (who were his friends from various other subs he modded). Then an admin came and re-modded them and demoted the sub owner.

It's crazy how out of touch some people are to at all identify the problem as "gamers." Everything they have done in their campaign has just pushed their playerbase away. That's not to say everyone complaining about issues is a saint. I'm sure there are some real pieces of work who say disgusting things in comment sections.

BF2 had a slower start but I'm pretty sure it sold very well in the long term. Which will probably happen to BFV as well.

They probably should have delayed this game to launch with their battle royale mode. Releasing next to RDR2 and BLOPSIIII didn't do this game any favors.

That's because they are desperate to make this a two sided issue. It's not. The games have always been quite ahistorical. They just included women this time (which, while greatly exaggerated, is not completely wrong), which some people are mad about because they want to play a mythical version of the game that is in their heads (or, they might have personal biases against it).

But seriously, DICE was just sort of like, 'Okay then, guess the game isn't for you' and that was apparently 'bad PR'. I'm not really sure what else they were supposed to do, but manbabies gonna manbaby.
