Both Demon of Gyoubu and Hatred the Demon can be cheesed in the same way, since they're in the same arena. It's done by jumping from a tower to a building, which makes the boss run off the arena into the pit and die.

Many corrupted monk phases can be backstabbed with clever jumping and item usage.

Some bosses can be baited into a corner where they can't effectively fight you if you're in the right position.

For the other 2 endings you don't have to worry about anything until after you beat Owl at Ashina Castle. But IMMEDIATELY after you do beat him you should look up a guide for the exact steps to take
They're not that hard to get if you have an idea where to try.
  • For one of the endings, you need to eavesdrop on Kuro/Emma/Sculptor and talk with Emma in a couple places until she gives you a key item, which unlocks some stuff.
  • For the other ending you basically need to eat a lot of rice and visit the rice girl a lot.
Both quests require Kuro to be accessible for some of the steps, so you want to do them before beating the Divine Dragon, which causes the invasion of Ashina.

That boss is just terribly designed. It's supposed to be a puzzle of creating the right conditions for ambushes, but turns out it's easier and simpler to just chase them around and hope you catch them unawares.

The anti-ghost umbrella is excellent for blocking ghost projectile attacks; all you need to do is hold the button to keep blocking them. And yes, the running slash is absurdly slow. Feels like it's better to run, stop, then attack.

School by far. I'm just not suited for it. All I can think of is falling asleep in class, huge procrastination-anxiety loops over homework/projects, and stressing over tiny things having huge consequences.

Work keeps me awake, is over when I leave the workplace, and no individual thing feels deathly important. Admittedly, a lot of that's due to choosing a manual job. Office work would share much of the same problems as school.

Not if it's an instinctual reaction. Hell, the Supreme Court has ruled thay people do have a situational right to resist arrest when a person has a reasonable fear for their life or safety. And in a case where you face a sudden, unreasonable use of excessive force, there is absolutely a reasonable fear in that immediate, instinctual response.
And even with careful rational thinking, being arrested runs the risk of the cops kneeling on his neck for 9 minutes until he dies. So there's always reasonable fear of death, so resisting arrest is always justifiable self-defense.

what needs to change in the structure?
  1. Establish an independent inspector body that investigates misconduct or criminal allegations and controls evidence like body camera video. This civilian body will be at the state level, have the ability to investigate and arrest other law enforcement officers (LEOs), and investigate law enforcement agencies.
  2. Create a requirement for states to establish board certification with minimum education and training requirements to provide licensing for police. In order to be a LEO, you must possess that license. The inspector body in #1 can revoke the license.
  3. Refocus police resources on training & de-escalation instead of purchasing military equipment and require encourage LEOs to be from the community they police.
  4. Adopt the absolute necessity doctrine for lethal force as implemented in other states. Use of force is automatically investigated by #1.
  5. Codify into law the requirement for police to have positive control over the evidence chain of custody. If the chain of custody is lost for evidence, the investigative body in #1 can hold the LEO/LE liable.

TopicExplain the difference between capitalism and socialism...
ZeldaMutant
04/12/20 10:27:16 AM
#33
Let's say you can trade 100 loaves of bread for an oven, and each oven can bake 1000 loaves of bread before it breaks down.

In capitalism, a guy trades 100 loaves for an oven. He then lets others use it, for a price. For every 5 loaves they bake, they must give the owner one loaf. By the time the oven breaks down, the owner has accumulated 200 loaves. He has ended up with more bread than he started with, despite not working. He can then trade the loaves for more ovens, continuing the process.

In socialism, a group of workers own an oven. Where it came from is unclear - maybe they seized it in the revolution, maybe it was provided by the government. The workers hold a vote and decide that everyone who bakes bread must give one loaf out of 10 to a common storage. By the time the oven breaks down, the storage will have 100 loaves, and the workers can trade those for a new oven.

Socialism is non-revolutionary and maintains a state, tries to enact socialist ideas through reform/democracy. Communism is revolutionary and does not maintain a state, tries to enact socialist ideas through public force
That sounds more like a Menshevik/Bolshevik split. Socialism can be revolutionary and even violent. It isn't easy to upend capitalism and seize the means of production while playing with the rules of a capitalist system. And the capitalist financial markets are prone to collapse from even a gradual shift towards socialism.

The allies saved Eastern Europe from genocide and slavery. They saved Western Europe from becoming a totalitarian police state. They saved East Asia from Imperial Japanese tyranny.

But we can't ignore that for years, various countries continued to appease and underestimate the genocidal maniac for their own strategic gain, instead of taking a hardline stance. We can't forget that one of the allied leaders was also one of the worst dictators history has seen. And we have to realize how lucky the world was to have two of the global superpowers led by a warmonger and a staunch antifascist who would never agree to anything but total victory.

It took years for the world to unite as a common, uncompromising front against the Axis. Their failures before that deserve the harshest of criticism.
