Of those, apple, but pomegranates are the best. I don't get what's up with pomegranate juice though, it's as though they juice the rind too. It would taste SOO much better if they left out the part you don't eat.

Citruses in general. I won't call out oranges specifically. I prefer citrus without seeds, but there are lots of good citrus.

I went with oranges but apples are a close second. Bananas lack juiciness so they lose.

Bananas are always great. A good orange is better than an apple, but some oranges are sour.

Literally comparing apples to oranges. Literally.

I'd probably say bananas>apples>oranges, but they're all really close, and that's just in terms of eating them raw. Apples and oranges are infinitely more versatile for cooking/baking than bananas are, so if we're extending the discussion to overall usefulness, bananas lose pretty hard. Also, as much as I would generally say I like bananas better than apples, my girlfriend's allergic to them, so we have apples around much more often than bananas.

Would softening help? I know there are ways to soften apple for babies and stuff. It could help until you get your replacements...

Sure, and banana bread is great, but compare that to everything else that can use apples and/or oranges? That's a massive list that includes both sweet and savory dishes. Bananas can also be more versatile than a lot of people give them credit for, but it's still not even close.

Oranges if I can them from my parents trees. Grocery store oranges usually suck. They're never ripe enough and often have a strange flavor.

If it's grocery store fruit, then I have to go with apples. Except red delicious. Those suck. They're hard, taste bad and have a bitter skin.

Bananas are easier to eat, but I grew up with orange trees in my back yard. We had navels (seedless), Valencias (a juice orange and super sweet), and mandarins (small, easily peeled and sectioned). You've never had orange juice until you've had fresh squeezed Valencia orange juice.

Fun fact: Cavendish bananas, navel oranges, and Granny Smith apples are all clones. Every tree in existence is a clone of the original.

Cavendish bananas and navel oranges are seedless, thus they can only be propagated by cloning. All navel orange trees are genetically identical to the first mutant tree discovered in Brazil in the early 19th century.

Orange is best for me but thats more of a textural reasons than flavor. Apples feel like polystyrene if cooked or dried. Theys feel like sweet corn meal as your chewing a raw one. Pears dont have this problems because the granules that make the fruit are smaller.

Bananas are just sap flavored mush in a casing. Given that I have never had a fresh banana I dont know if this is because they are picked green and exported. Seems they tasted different than when I was a kid.

Oranges that are picked correctly like the Satsuma that gets picked before thanksgiving are probably gonna be the best your gonna eat however sice its an heirloom crop your not going to see it far from its orchards as it doesn't produce as much as the flavorless cultivars people think about when they tried one (naval is bread for looks not for flavor)
