Topic2 black holes have been found a bit too close for comfort to our solar system
ZeldaMutant

There's nothing particularly dangerous about black holes. They're just collapsed stars, with the same gravitational pull of the star they used to be. Sure, if you get close enough you can't get out anymore. But if you get that close to a star, it will burn you to atoms anyway. A black hole and a star would also have the same effect if they wandered into the solar system: messing with the Earth's orbit and causing us to either burn or freeze to death due to the change in sunlight.

But tarantula itself supposed to be read "tula" and not "chula". It's derived from the Italian town of Taranto. Several languages have morphed it into "chula", including English and Japanese.

ends his turn. that tracks with me
then, ok, hani's turn, he looks like he's about to start drawing
Jesse didn't end his turn, he thought for a moment and then activated the effect of Kelbek, the Ancient Vanguard. It makes both players mill 5, which then ends up triggering additional effects.

but then wtf, as part of this process, jesse just sets a magic card in what i assume is the banished pile?
Are you talking about the field spell he activated?

also at 4:18, did jesse even shuffle hani's hand? is that an option? it looks like he's just shaking the cards a bit without actually changing any of their positions
That was Hani's deck. Whenever someone shuffles their deck, the opponent has the right to cut the deck.

is it still his turn
is this all just a series of chaining a shitload of monsters together?
Basically.

do we even attack life points anymore or what?
That's still the win condition most decks effectively go for, though oftentimes a player will surrender when they're too far behind in terms of card advantage and such.

and the crowd erupts at 6:07 for some reason because he discarded a monster?
Hani uses a "handtrap", Herald of Orange Light, to negate one of Jesse's effects. Handtraps are monsters whose effects you can activate from your hand during your opponent's turn to interrupt their plays.

3E+78 is pretty close to the total amount of atoms in the universe, so that's why he gave it that name.

There's various theories about the timeline of the universe's heat death. According to the most likely proton decay theory, by 3E+78 years they should all have decayed into radiation. At that point the universe would consist mostly of massive black holes, with ones the mass of the sun having evaporated via Hawking radiation.

It's all about MSG.
You don't necessarily have to use pure MSG. Soy sauce, meat stock and/or fondue can also be used to add umami into a dish.

Another key taste to add is acid. Balsamic vinegar and red wine are good options for a meat dish.

I think at the time people was just too big of a simp for Super that they wouldn't allow themselves to enjoy Fusion. This is where nostalgia is considered a bad thing. People wanted Super Metroid 2 but got Metroid 4 instead LMAO.
All of the first three Metroids were much more open than Fusion. 2 was partitioned into sectors similar to 4, but they were far less linear. Metroid until that point had been about exploring on your own, but Fusion was much closer to a narrated piperun.

Damn_Underscore posted...
Maybe I missed something, but at the end of the game (when you fight the final bosses) you basically become locked in a section and cant go back and collect items unless they are in that section I suppose

Now the problem is that tanking the boss the one that looks like you, I forget the name is pretty much impossible and youre stuck. I had to go online and find a cheese strat that gives you the win every time
There's hidden pathways blocked by Screw Attack blocks that link the sectors together, allowing you go for 100%, or at least close to it. They're not easy to find though.

The precursors of both are probably soups and porridge/gruel. They're very simple, just heat water in a pot over a fire and throw stuff in. Maybe pre-grind hard stuff like grains and seeds.

Grain porridge that gets dry enough eventually becomes bread. Grain gruel that's left to ferment eventually becomes beer.

Which had more people killed?

Trump by being anti-science, anti-fauci, and downplaying how bad it is? Or Bush for starting the iraq war?

Serious question.
Probably Bush. Studies estimate ~500 thousand deaths in Iraq by 2011. That was before ISIS, which has added plenty more. The US Covid death count is at a million, with a death rate less than twice that of Germany. So Trump's Covid handling is responsible for maybe 400 thousand dead Americans.

It gives you limited flight since you can levitate your split body parts at will. You can fly a few stories high. Your feet can't fly so they're stuck on the ground though.

Master_Bass posted...
Though I should probably ask how I manipulate books, since I have no clue what this power really is capable of, lol. Maybe ebooks do work with it.
You can levitate them around and use them as footholds. You can use them as a storage space where things do not age and can't escape. You can project a visual illusion of a book's world into the real world.

It probably only works with real books.

Lobbyists influencing government policy, the government giving aid to rich people and corporations, and the whole system always making the rich even richer isn't a conspiracy. It's all legal and public. It's just how the capitalist economy works. There's no need to conspire when independent actors trying to maximize their own profits leads to the same result.

For those of us who haven't read the books in years, you might have to unpack the context a bit more.

As it stands, Rowling is amalgamating the worst qualities of Skeeter and Umbridge.
After Dumbledore's death, Skeeter published a book on him, revealing that he was an anti-muggle wizard supremacist in the past. He then turned against Grindelwald, becoming the Dumbledore we know.

The analogy doesn't really work because Dumbledore was a bigot in the past, but got better. Meanwhile Rowling did her respected deeds in the past, then turned into a professional transphobe.

You got to play to win and Jones not turning in discovery docs doomed him, but to me he largely falls under rhetorical hyperbole. I don't think any reasonable person can take him seriously. I know it is an overused strategy now a days, but if Trump & Tucker can do it and have it work, then Alex, "they are turning the frogs gay" Jones should be able to too. Probably would not have worked since the court seem out for blood in this case given the absurd compensatory damages awarded, but I don't know how anyone can take Jones seriously, even the Onion is more believable than him.
The "no reasonable person" defense should only be applicable if the only victim is the unreasonable person. So if Alex Jones says that bath salts will cure your cancer, and an unreasonable person buys them, they don't have a case against Jones. But if Jones says "these people are fraudsters trying to take away your guns" and an unreasonable person harasses those targets, Jones is liable.

If you don't like the new trilogy, that doesn't mean whichever trilogy you like just ceases to exist.
Disney declared all the previously existing extended universe non-canon. So yes, all the Old Republic and New Republic works did cease to exist due to the new trilogy.

I'd rather have KotOR and Heir to the Empire than the new movies. So I declare the old EU canon, and the "First Order spin-off films" non-canon. Hating on the "sequel trilogy" is a way to make all the Star Wars stories I like remain in existence.
