By some miracle both last week and this week was all new cards for me. It's definitely the first time ever having them back to back, and it's been like 4 months since I last had all new cards in a week. Too bad it probably won't happen again for another 6.

I hate this goddamn piece of shit game. Literally in the medal shop, milliseconds away from spending my medals and *bam*, it rips it away from me to refresh the season. What the actual fuck. I foolishly thought it would change when I changed menus or whatever. Guess I know now but FUCK ugh. I also blame the complete asshole who snapped immediately, lost the 8 cuber, but then stayed in. If it wasn't for him, I would have been able to claim my rewards but nooo he just wanted to waste our precious time for no fucking reason.

I have no idea what that means...

I think the Wheelie is the best integration I've yet come across for the DualSense's shoulder buttons(I forgot what they're called.) Like something about it just feels so good and realistic?

The random rabbit burrows were rarely worth it, except for filling out your PLAY ARTS set.

??? I've found they have by far the best loot in the game minus the purple chests that have equipment in them. Like I'll open 3 chests, find a bunch of junk, and then do a rabbit burrow and get 5 of the rarest material from that one hole.

Holy fucking shit, if the first fight of 'Gourmands Are We' isn't the hardest in the game I'll be very surprised and terrified of what could possibly be harder. I just love getting swallowed and frog'd repeatedly.

I somehow missed a day and didn't get the Cyclops variant. That's annoying.

I could have sworn Game Informer bit the dust...

Absolutely, positively, 100% convinced that the devs were originally going to limit fast travel to chocostops, and then some poindexter (wisely) spoke up and said "hey, players should just be able to fast travel everywhere." This was a good gameplay decision, but a bad decision for baby chocobo here, since it made Chocostops a bit of a gameplay redundancy. When you can fast travel anywhere, why do we need to unlock fast travel stops?

Wait, you don't have to choose a PoI or Chocostop to fast travel to? And I'm just now realizing this?

As for my own progress, I assume I'm in the home stretch? Basically just got to ch 12 and had the world open up. My party is lvl 45, which I saw is close to the lvl a lot of you were at when beating it. I'm definitely gonna finish at least the legit side quests, but idk how much more beyond that. Oh and QB of course, still the best thing about this game. I really need them to make a legit spin-off like they did with Gwent. Although speaking of, idk if the difficulty has just leveled out or my deck is just really good, but I haven't lost a march in quite a long time.

So are any of you trying some warmachine decks?

if he's debuffed he won't blow the horn unless he's 25% or below in my experience

Hm, may have to try this. But also I assume if I'm busy debuffing instead of hitting him, he'll just laugh and do it anyway.

I also had a super good attempt at like try 4 that absolutely SHOULD have won. I had him staggered at like 50% HP and Red, Cait had their level 3 Limits ready and Cloud had level 2. I went through everyone to activate their limits all at once and was like "This should be enough..."

And as I do everything, for some reason, it just didn't read the input for Cloud's level 2 limit and by the time I got back around to seeing if everyone's doing their move, the stagger was basically over and Cloud hadn't even started using it at all.

Odin was left with 10% HP and then one shot everyone, it was really cool!

Game has a problem with queuing up actions frequently I've noticed v_v

I've noticed this a few times myself. It's also super frustrating when you use all your atb to do an action but the moment you leave menu, you get tapped and it interrupts the action and completely wastes both atb bars. Very fun and cool.

Yup this was my exact experience. It must be purely how aggressive you're being with your ATB attacks. I still haven't tried again though.

I just got to chapter 12 and it dumped so many new sidequests and shit to do that I felt overwhelmed and called it a night. Maybe I'll beat this game one of these days...

I love how much you're still playing it lol. I think about coming back to the game pretty often.

He has the most years lived but he's far from the "most experienced." He lived the vast majority of his 48 years in a bubble.

So I came back today to try the Odin again. Idk if it's just my atrocious luck or what but he just spams Zantetsuken as much as he can against me. And this time I dodged nearly every attack of his. I think I got hit twice before he did his first one, then never got hit before he used his next one less than a minute later. This is just dumb and unfun.
It's also really annoying that I can't change any of my gear without completely closing out of the VR and then going back in again. They should have had a change equipment option within the VR menu.

Yes! It's so far above the other Chcocobo in fun factor and just general control and movement feel. It's a shame I can't take this Chcocobo back to the other regions.

With Yuffie, I just press triangle and then square a whole bunch until they die usually.

Like, I guess it's a good thing he's doing it immediately and saving me wasted time but still, it seems ridiculous. If you mean the question of why would you though, an extremely vast majority of people invert their vertical controls for flying in games, it's just the way flight is meant to be. Most games even default to inversed flight controls even if your regular controls aren't.

I completely understand that which is why I'm confused. It's not a flying game? It's a falling slowly game, and you can sometimes dive and pull back up Mario Cape style but it's generally super simplistic and doesn't even require much input.

I really, really wanna play this. But Rebirth is taking fooorever ugh
