I had to look up a deck to beat her, I tried like 5 times with my buff deck and could get pretty close with the gi legendary but never won. but i found some deck online that gets stat buffs from enfeeblement and that won first try

I got A in my first try on that too and I have no rhythm game experience whatsoever. I guess the games are different enough that the difficulty is not necessarily agreed upon.

Would be a bit annoying to go for the S on it though, it's not a fun song to play.

it wasnt TOO bad. it took me like 45 minutes or so. and I got A rank second try. but I mained fighting games for like 15 years of my life and fighting games are kind of just multiplayer rhythm games if you think about it hard enough

I'm just too used to touch screen based rhythm games I can't handle stick timings.

3D Brawler is pretty difficult for me, primarily because I struggle noticing the differences in the attack animations often.

yeah I also found 3D Brawler pretty difficult. the difference between a straight and a hook is like impossible to tell half the time. Ifrit was easier than Shiva though. Haven't played the rest.

I did the first 3 fights legit but when I got to Shiva I just said fuck it and started pause cheesing it. Satisfaction levels way up

Didn't touch 3D Brawler outside the mandatory fights. Not fun, so no reason to bother.

Its crazy that I've done it all and still want more. This game is living in my brain. I loved it top to bottom. I might go back and finish out the Assess log.

Good stuff :) I plan on getting platinum as well. I just beat all the hard challenges on cactaur crush, aeriths took me so many tries but then when I finally won I had like 30 seconds left over lol. So weird

Omg the date was so freakin cuuute!! With Tifa of course.

In the last 3D Brawler match I went from not getting a hit in to winning the first time I did. I probably struggled more with Middle Manager than Sephirtoth simply because of having an easier time telling the moves apart there.

Hard Mode of Cactuar Crush should be the only thing left for before finishing chapter 12 which will put me at 82/88 of Treasure Trove stuff. I was gonna knock it out yesterday but I had to sleep.

Cactuar Crush is probably also the least fun game to me, the Aerith ones in particular, they came close but they can't all be fun and this one isn't, and I haven't even attempted the more difficult part yet.

It's less about difficulty and more about the grind honestly. The hardest part is no doubt the end game Combat Simulator stuff. I ended up using an OP Magic build with 2 characters just supporting the third.

That and a couple of the Hard Mode bosses Rufus especially.

The hardest mini game for me was by far the final Gliding Chocobo one. You need to execute that with exact perfection. Cactuar Crush wasn't too bad once I used one of Aerith's abilities that self charges up to lvl 2, then you unleash it on the big boys. Can't remember the name of it off the top of my head.

3D Brawler is way too hard to not cheat through. Just cheat it.

My best advice would be to just power through Hard Mode to get all of the SP tomes (You get a bunch from end game fights) so that you have maximum weapon level for the combat simulator. And be sure to grab the two best armors in the game in the final dungeon. I completely missed these on my first run through and regretted it.

Not extremely difficult, especially if you use the best builds around online for the harder VR gauntlets, but still substantially harder than the average AAA game's. Hard mode itself is easier than the gauntlets (assuming you are level 70 with mostly maxed materia). Some of the mini-games are a bit of a pain too, but tbh apart from 3D Brawler, the 3rd Chocobo Gliding trial, and the hardest piano song I didn't find many took more than a few attempts.

Kinda sick of these later game fights being very easy except for some insta-kill special attack halfway through

Oh I just found the other one too. I'm not sure what makes them so good? No materia slots for like +3 defense doesn't seem even remotely worth it unless I'm missing something.

(final dungeon armor spoilers lol) there are two different armors with 8 slots, and two with zero slots. They all begin w/ "Cetran" but have a different word at the end, I forget which is Armband, Armlet, Bracer and Bangle. I'm assuming wg64Z was referring to the 8 slot ones but yeah...

I'm way too deep into theory-crafting and I started theorizing a connection between it and the beginning of loveless, which also featured a random clockwork/gear motif. I'm going to keep working on it though.

Cactuar Crush is fun!

Worst minigame imo goes to the Chocobo flight sim solely because that final stage is the devil

Unless you count Chocobo stealth which takes it easily

I found it pretty annoying until I looked up strategy online and after I kinda "got it" I didn't think it was that bad. But I also haven't tired hard mode so.

I probably was less frustrated before hard mode.

I have legimately enjoyed the vast majority so far or worst with something like Sit Ups found it passable. I'm having so little fun with this but I've already done the rest so done want to stop.

I blame Johnny for killing the enjoyment of most minigames to be honest

Cactuar Crush is extremely bad. The Yuffie version's okay, but the Aeris version sucks. Probably the worst minigame that you have to play multiple times for a sidequest.

I have no idea what Cactuar Crush or Gizmo Gears or whatever is. Just having some good ol mainline fun.

The proto relic quests are like this close to being main story stuff though. Definitely the best side content as far as story/world building goes.

Idk I would have agreed because the protorelic quests are great, but the thing they feed into is postgame level content.

At least the dual summon bosses feel that way to me. I managed to take down Titan/Bahamut but Phoenix/Kujata was so much bullshit I looked up strats online and found out I was like 12 levels underleveled and left

How'd you do that? Did you not know on the world map, it tells you how many side quests you've completed, out of how many are available for each region?

I don't know obviously I know there's a world map I just missed it somehow

I got up to the bugged g bike quest now, guess Im done playing until there's a patch :( wish I didn't sell my physical copy lol

Chapter 12 pre-rendered scene is badass. I feel like this is the first AAA game in a very long time that has that old school fantastical pre-rendered effect. Ever since PS3 era they have tried to match the realtime graphics closely to trick you into thinking it's in-game, but that really limits what you can do.
