It certainly is unclear what the object that chases Murphy through the Otherworldis, but you can clearly see it. It's some wibbly-wobbly black hole with red bits, like something that got lost on its way to the Star Trek visual effects department. When I said it would be nice if the show was less safe and bland. I didn't mean for random characters for absolutely no reason suddenly go "I wanna gay rape kids now nyeuheheheheheheheh!" then instantly die and never be mentioned again. That's not interesting, that's Wario level. And still safe, just fucking dumb.
