That is what Amiah Van Hill in Hayden, Idaho is doing for her schoolmates. The second grade student has been selling lemonade in order to pay off the school lunch debt of the Coeur d’Alene Public School district. Her “Lemonade 4 Lunch” stand initially raised about $40 last weekend, which was enough to pare down the debt at three local schools. Then, she set her sights on a much bigger goal: $23,000. By starting a GoFundMe campaign with her mom, the 6-year-old will be using her lemonade stand and the crowdfunding initiative to raise enough money to cover lunch debts throughout the district. Amiah, who attends Hayden Meadows Elementary School, says that she first became inspired to raise money for the cause after she read a story about John Lew: a Seattle dad who raised over $50,000 for his state’s lunch debt. The 17-meter castle, which was built in Duisburg, Germany over the course of three-and-a-half weeks with 3,860 tons of sand, was officially registered as the tallest sandcastle after a Guinness World Records jury made the verdict on September 1st. If the sheer size of the castle isn’t enough to impress you, the exterior of the breathtaking structure is decorated with intricately carved cultural elements from around the world in recognition of the designer team’s diversity. The previous world record for the tallest sandcastle was held by Indian artist Sudarsan Pattnaik after he built a 48-foot model back in February. "Congress now has 6 months to legalize DACA (something the Obama Administration was unable to do)," he tweeted on Sept. 5. "If they can't, I will revisit this issue!" He has since tried to reassure those enrolled in the program they will be fine for at least the next six months. "For all of those [DACA] that are concerned about your status during the 6 month period, you have nothing to worry about - No action!' Trump tweeted two days later. The pope urged the U.S. president to rethink his position. "I think this law comes not from parliament but from the executive," Pope Francis said. The pope's remarks come shortly after former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon lashed out against Catholic bishops for criticizing Trump's decision. Deputies responded to Rebecca Lynn Phelps’ home just before 2am on Thursday. Deputies say Phelps was outside her home drinking with the victim. She began to get angry when the victim refused to have sex with her. Phelps then allegedly began to scream and hit the victim, leaving red marks on his face. Deputies say the victim yelled for Phelps to stop or he would call 911. Phelps then scratched the victim’s arm, causing him to bleed. Deputies say a witness inside the home did not see what happened, but heard the victim yelling at Phelps “Stop hitting me” and then the witness heard a smack. "The four islands of the archipelago should be sunken into the sea by the nuclear bomb of Juche. Japan is no longer needed to exist near us," the committee said in a statement carried by the North's official KCNA news agency. Juche is the North's ruling ideology that mixes Marxism and an extreme form of go-it-alone nationalism preached by state founder Kim Il Sung, the grandfather of the current leader, Kim Jong Un. Regional tension has risen markedly since the reclusive North conducted its sixth, and by far its most powerful, nuclear test on Sept. 3. The 15-member Security Council voted unanimously on a U.S.-drafted resolution and a new round of sanctions on Monday in response, banning North Korea's textile exports that are the second largest only to coal and mineral, and capping fuel supplies.
