You're on your way home after work one day when your route is blocked by abandoned cars and rubble. There are pools of blood and other fluids splattered all over the place. You hear terrible noises and quickly realize that Ganon and Bowser are fighting each other to the death nearby, laying waste to everything in their path. "I'm going to take over the world!" "NO! I'm going to take over the world!" they yell as they wrestle each other. They're evenly matched and are destroying the neighbourhood with their battle. The slightest thing would tip the balance. On the floor next to you is a pointed stick, it's not much but if you threw it at one of them it would cause them to lose the fight. If you don't intervene then their battle will end up killing you in collateral damage as they throw cars, knock down buildings and start fires. Kenshin Kazama, 27, has confessed to the offense, saying, "There is no doubt about it," the police said. According to the police, between Aug. 22 and Nov. 29 last year, Kazama allegedly sent a total of 39 messages via an inquiry form on Nintendo's official website, threatening to kill people at the Splatoon Koshien tournaments events associated with its popular Splatoon Nintendo Switch game and other Nintendo events, thereby obstructing company business. The video game company filed a formal police complaint in August, triggering an investigation that led to the identification of the suspect through the analysis of digital footprints. The police plan to further investigate the motive behind Kazama's actions. Last December, Nintendo postponed the Splatoon Koshien finals and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe World Championship, as well as cancel Nintendo Live Tokyo, citing threats leveled at both attendees and personnel. According to the Hitachi city government, Kazama is employed at a local zoo. In light of the arrest, a municipal official said that a statement on the matter will be released at a later date. They're targeting governments and consumer rights groups. This is about a matter of law. As far as I am aware the only contact with game developers/publishers at all is Ubisoft itself since the French consumer rights body requires that you contact Ubisoft first and they tell you to fuck off before they will humor your query.
