Aliens from beyond the moon have decided they want to learn about Earth and picked you as one of the prime candidates for observation. They've offered you 180,000 American Dollars paid across 2 years (Money is after tax) but if you accept then for the next 2 years an alien researcher will follow you around everywhere at all times and make copious notes about everything you ever do no matter what it is. And by everything this includes sleeping, working, using the toilet, meeting other people. The alien will never intervene but it will always be there watching you obsessively. Crash 4 is not fun to 100%. It's fun to beat the main game but I gave up on doing everything. The levels are all so long, the amount of crates is ridiclous, so many are missable and you have to do every level twice due to inverted mode.... It's just not good design. He's 100% right in that "always online" games being killed by their creators is a modern phenomena. People still play Doom and Neverwinter Nights online. Dead games used to mean games so unpopular that no physical copies remain. Now games beloved by millions that tens of millions own are being destroyed. tl;dr: Ross hates when live service games were the developers make it impossible to ever play once they remove support. Effectively "killing" the game. He believes this is against Consumer Protection Rights but the law doesn't understand gaming. He's been championing opposing the death of games for years but feels The Crew is the last best chance to oppose it. The US is screwed since there are literally no consumer rights for gamers under the laws. But he hopes challenges in the EU and Australia might have a ripple effect globally. And the sheer fact his response to being a postman who was shot point blank in the head by some powerful dude he doesn't know (In an unforgiving brutal wasteland) is in canon to go track down said dude and confront him about it is pretty much peak 1 Intelligence.
