It can use gas (not petrol!) or water, here, but with electric-powered heating we usually have radiators filled with static water & the electric boiler heats it. --- Trialia ~ unfaithful-mirror.net PSN: Trialia_X, Xaedere (100%) | XBL: trialia, Noquelle (100%) |
Topic | Do you have AC or heating system in your house? |
Trialia 06/23/18 10:24:53 AM #24 | Air conditioning isn't really routine in residential buildings in the UK. Our climate hasn't really required anything to cope with that sort of heat until recent years, so it's never been a standard, not like central heating. I don't have A/C, but I sort of wish I did. I spend most of my time in front of a 16" standing fan because my internal thermostat doesn't exactly work like most people's. Sigh. --- Trialia ~ unfaithful-mirror.net PSN: Trialia_X, Xaedere (100%) | XBL: trialia, Noquelle (100%) |
Topic | Are you the first person to have lived at your home? |
Trialia 06/23/18 10:20:42 AM #3 | I am, but I don't own it. Social housing, a new-build apartment building, and I am the first tenant to have lived in my specific apartment. Mostly because the local authority decided to "regenerate" the area & that meant demolishing all the old apartments & replacing them with new ones (for the most part); those of us who had been long-term tenants in the demolished buildings had first call on the new ones. --- Trialia ~ unfaithful-mirror.net PSN: Trialia_X, Xaedere (100%) | XBL: trialia, Noquelle (100%) |
Topic | how old were you when you reached your adult height? |
Trialia 06/13/18 8:39:44 AM #31 | I was 5ft 3in when I was 12 years old, and that's only an inch below my adult height. I didn't really notice when it was that I gained the extra inch - sometime between 12 and 16. I was 5ft 2in by the time I was ten, and until I was twelve I was one of the tallest kids in my grade, of any gender - then everybody else started growing past me =P but I matured early in most ways, especially physical. I got so used to being mistaken for a young adult as a pre-teen (and in my early teens, too) that I got into the habit of carrying my birth certificate in my school bag so I could prove I was young enough to pay kid-rate bus fare... I have a photo from when I was eight years old that I regularly use to freak people out because I look like a grown woman in it. Maybe I'm weird, but I find the shock on their faces rather entertaining. --- Trialia ~ unfaithful-mirror.net PSN: Trialia_X, Xaedere (100%) | XBL: trialia, Noquelle (100%) |

Trialia 05/31/18 12:09:46 AM #264 | minervo posted... 10/10. What can i say about evanescence that hasn't already been said? They pull off gothic pop/rock in a way that's touching but not obnoxious. Oooh, I like that. Not a band I've heard before. I'm not sure it will end among my favourites, but I definitely like it. 8/10. This one isn't with the proper music video, just a GoT fanvid, but it's the only one I could find with the song I wanted to share - so. --- Trialia ~ unfaithful-mirror.net PSN: Trialia_X, Xaedere (100%) | XBL: trialia, Noquelle (100%) |

Trialia 05/30/18 9:45:34 PM #261 | Ferarri619 posted... 6/10 ... I like the piano line, but the song as a whole... well. Not one of her best, and it reminds me distinctly of "My Immortal", in a way that isn't positive -- honestly, it feels as though she was trying to create her own version of that, and it isn't nearly as touching or as pretty. JMO, but. On that note (pun entirely intended =P): (LOLIAmAnAlt posted... Wait did someone call a song that is 23 years old that something of a whiny millennial. Then continue to call a song from only 6 years prior real non-millennial music? I think there are some people participating in this thread who are on my ignore list. Things would make much more sense if everybody quoted the video they were rating, lol... or at least said which one it was...) --- Trialia ~ unfaithful-mirror.net PSN: Trialia_X, Xaedere (100%) | XBL: trialia, Noquelle (100%) |
Topic | So people prefer less complex storied games? |
Trialia 05/30/18 9:35:16 PM #26 | Complex is fine. Convoluted - not so much. That's part of why Final Fantasy VII is probably my least favourite of the FF series (yes, I know, unpopular opinion, I'm not posting it for flamebait, JMO). --- Trialia ~ unfaithful-mirror.net PSN: Trialia_X, Xaedere (100%) | XBL: trialia, Noquelle (100%) |
Topic | At what age did you start playing video games? |
Trialia 05/26/18 8:59:16 PM #24 | I remember we got a NES, with the Duck Hunt / Super Mario combination cartridge, when I was a kid, and that it wasn't brand new. I also remember going round to my friend's to play Street Fighter with him, predating that, and I think I was about six or seven years old then. I've been gaming about as long as I can remember. --- Trialia ~ unfaithful-mirror.net PSN: Trialia_X, Xaedere (100%) | XBL: trialia, Noquelle (100%) |

Trialia 05/21/18 9:42:25 PM #214 | Mmph... decidedly not my kind of thing, sorry. Lyrics matter as much as music in a song as far as I'm concerned, and when they're unintelligible...well. 4/10. This one doesn't have a video of its own, and the music is a lot less busy than the last, being folk, but I like its take on things - well, you'll see. --- Trialia ~ unfaithful-mirror.net PSN: Trialia_X, Xaedere (100%) | XBL: trialia, Noquelle (100%) |

Trialia 05/05/18 12:32:07 PM #188 | Ha, and symphonic metal is one of my favourite genres. Hm, I'd give that track a 5/10. Not too bad, but his voice irritates me. I don't much like Lana del Rey as a person, and I find a lot of her songs insipid, but I do really like this one. --- Trialia ~ unfaithful-mirror.net PSN: Trialia_X, Xaedere (100%) | XBL: trialia, Noquelle (100%) |
Topic | Some feminists believe all sex is rape. Even if it's consensual |
Trialia 05/03/18 10:36:49 AM #62 | Dude. She actually admits to being a "radfem". The kind of people who are usually the actual reality of the man-hating transphobic feminists stereotype. They represent feminism the way the KKK represent racial equality - i.e., not at all, with more hatred than sense, and in a way that warps the concept beyond reasonable recognition. People like that aren't just misandrists, they're misanthropic in the worst way - they practically hate everybody. Taking a radfem/TERF as a "normal" feminist would be like taking an incel to be a "normal" man. It doesn't work. --- Trialia ~ unfaithful-mirror.net PSN: Trialia_X, Xaedere (100%) | XBL: trialia, Noquelle (100%) |

Trialia 04/03/18 1:33:00 PM #61 | Interesting!
