Who here would even doxx Zang over this and to what effect? Like what would be the point

There are people on these boards who'd do that crap for fun. Not me, I'm just concerned that Zang gave away enough info that it could be done. (And yes, if you have the right access, you'd be surprised what can be found on the internet.)

also Zang did not provide enough information to doxx him. what are you paranoid-delusionals actually fucking talking about? circle the personal info you can doxx him with. you can't.

Why would I do that? *eyeroll* I'm not saying I'm going to doxx him, I just posted because I was concerned he put up too much info, so it would be totally in opposition to my original intent in posting, if I were to indicate the specific info at risk, on a public thread. Do you even think before you post, or what??

As for your claim that I'm somehow a right-winger... PMSL! If you ask 313 they'll tell you I'm an irredeemable leftie SJW. *smh* It's seriously daft to slap an entire ideological category on somebody simply for a single thread where they warn somebody to be careful about sharing their personal data. How ridiculous of you.

How do I know it's a risk? Aside from the previous experience I mentioned, I'm a hobby genealogist, so I am very well aware of how shockingly easy it is to dig up info on random individuals on the internet. Most of you have no idea how simple it would be to find your names, addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, electoral data, the names of whomever you live with... it can take as little as a single search.

Because I am only responding to this very specific situation. But ok.

What about that makes my original post "wrong"? All I did was express concern that your openness might get you doxxed. How is that a bad thing on my part?

Theres a lot to unpack here, and its almost entirely wrong

oy.

Such as? People ARE irrational when it comes to that sort of thing.

I'm not talking about how they react to the actual predator, so much as how they react to their family and former friends. I know what can happen - I've seen it close up, after one of my nearby neighbours when I was a teenager was arrested for statutory rape (female on male, she was in her 40s and the two boys involved were 15).

He can post whatever. But if he gets doxxed that's on him.

I know, right? *smh* Dude. It's like proclaiming to everybody on the net that you're going on holiday so your house will be empty, and expecting not to be burgled while you're gone.

I get that he might want support (for some reason I can't tag him?), but posting this sort of thing publicly on the internet is just asking for randoms to harass his family because they think if there's a pedo in the family, the others must have known. People are irrational.

Yet the supposed anger at Bette is that she said don't call women menstruators while calling for legal abortions.

Wrong. What she's saying clearly implies "don't call women stuff like 'people who menstruate' because only women can menstruate or conceive", totally ignoring that post-menopausal cis women won't be affected by this and those of us who menstruate but aren't women - trans men, and agender, two-spirit, or non-binary people assigned female at birth - will be.

She's arguing against linguistic inclusion in exactly the way JK Rowling was doing, and it's just as nasty and transphobic.
