nah i just fundamentally disagree with not using editing, which is one of two things that makes cinema cinemaIt's a deconstruction, in a way. Instead of editing, you are using cinematography in more creative ways, totally separating it from being just a play. Removing editing might feel like you are regressing back to the 1900s and 1910s, but when done correctly, can elevate the movie. Filmmakers are always finding new ways to reinvent older methods, which makes it a living medium. --- Bells, bells, bells! |

movie-long takes are a quite large pet peeve of mine, so not sure i will roll with this oneRussia Ark and Children of Men suck. Rope is excellent. It just depends if the film utilizes it in a meaningful way. In the case of Boiling Point, it allows the movie's stress to simmer. And with your love of Uncut Gems (and I'm assuming Good Time as well), films that excel at making the viewer stressed, you'd probabaly dig it. --- Bells, bells, bells! |

There are some truly terribly results here, but FFVI losing to Spiderman in round 1 is the worst one somehow.The entire bracket's seeding is the worst result of all. Wind Waker lost to modern junk. Shadow of the Colossus lost to modern junk. Mario 64 lost to modern junk. Super Mario World lost to modern junk. Link to the Past lost to modern junk. Super Metroid lost to a modern game. The whole bracket had less than 15 games made before 2000, and most of them lost first round. So why would anyone expect Ocarina of Time to actually win?
