For what it's worth, it sounds less like these people were just not doing anything, and more like they were straight up avoiding work. Stuff like not taking or making calls, not taking client meetings, etc. It gets dicey when you're missing actual metrics that can be checked and measured.

Okay, so I watched the first like 20 minutes and then skipped around, but I'm just going to say right now what the problem seems to be almost immediately.

We can't see into your head. We can literally only respond to what you type. So when you say stuff like "You're reading too far into it" or "I don't even think X, I just said Y," that is context we cannot have. So when you say X dumb/offensive/insulting/whatever thing, and your next several replies just continue to be very flippant, dismissive, and so on, then yes, we're obviously going to read into X, because you never clarified that you didn't actually mean X until much later. That was a very constant theme throughout both arguments. You'd type X, you'd kinda ramble on in replies rather dismissively, and then you'd bounce. It's kinda like walking into a bar full of Philadelphia Eagles fans, saying out loud "Eagles are shit," not actually clarifying whatever you actually meant by that until sometime later, and then wondering why the rest of the people in the bar are pissed at you and keep bringing up the "shit" comment.

It's tough to compare the Wii and PS5 because, like Lopen said, the circumstances are different. Wii was pure demand, there was no shortage attached. PS5's a case where they might have been able to meet demand without the shortage, we don't really know. The decision to also primarily release PS5 online only for so long also raised the scarcity since it allowed scalpers to really thrive.

There's a difference between being a sucker fooled into going along with something, and what actually happened.

If they were told by the others that they were invited in, and they were just freely able to walk in, they're suckers. The people that legit just meandered in after and did nothing? Yes, I absolutely buy those as "suckers."

But when you're having to force your way in, you're clearly not welcome. When you're busting windows and breaking down doors to get in, you're clearly not welcome. When you, yourself, are talking part in assaulting police, or see it happening, you're clearly not welcome.

Those people were not suckers. Those people knew what they were doing was wrong, but they were rallied into actually, physically trying to overthrow the government. Anybody involved in the actual breach is not a sucker, they're at the least an accessory with intent. Doesn't matter if they came with that intent, or gained it when they thought they might actually be able to accomplish it.

I personally don't think that matters if they dispersed after they already did the violent part. They violently breached the building with intent, they realized they failed their goal and were in over their head, and dispersed. But they still did Step A. Constantly acting like they were nothing more than wayward protestors seems dumb.

Like I said in the previous topic, I thought it was excessive at first, but I also didn't know about the spear/death threat/etc. His sentence wasn't just randomly boosted, it's actually the minimum based on several crimes he committed. With that knowledge, I'm less inclined to think it's excessive.
