I liked the episode! Seeing some of the things they talked about in Age of Ultron is kinda weird because it seemed much more bleak when it was told. Seeing it unfold was kinda... eh? The new scenes that wouldn't fit in the movies of Wanda and Vision bonding were great!

And the episode answered questions I had about the kids somehow forming out of thin air. LAW OF EQUIVALENT EXCHANGE, WANDA!

I don't read comics though, so my only experience with Wanda before the MCU was when she was a goth chick in X-Men Evolution. And I had no clue what she did in that show except give people bad luck.

I don't really see a reason to rush marriage then. Not really an optimal time for that anyway. Living together for a couple days is easy. But long term is the real test. Do you feel like you have a good understanding of what living with her would be like? You might find out she uses the drying rack to wash her dishes or just throws her socks off at the end of a day instead of putting them in the hamper.

I have not worked on a single bridge! The closest I've done is a overhead passageway connecting a parking garage to an office building.

The job description is vague enough that it could be anything! But it's on the opposite end of what I'm doing now, so I'll probably be telling people they can't build what they want to build because of some niche city code that was created decades ago. Then they'll fume vehemently internally and make a new, more costly design in hopes of approval, which will also be rejected.

I wanted to move to Seattle! Mostly because Dota (used to) hosts its biggest tournament there and Valve is also headquartered there.

What kind of job are you looking for? Something similar but with a different company? Is your work remote anyway? I still come into the office, so not a lot has changed for me really, aside from the masks. The job I'm applying to might be remote though. My current boss seems to be one of the deniers... so yeah, he makes us come in.

I'm doing okay. Trying to get a new job, so I don't have to live nearly paycheck to paycheck (California LUL). It's a government job though, so the interview process will be a pain.

I have an IRA, but it's not a Roth. I'm still a bit confused about it because the guy called it a "Rollover IRA." I was taking money from my previous employer's 401k and wanted to put it into an IRA. But that's what I've been putting money into each year. Reddit seems to recommend Charles Schwab or Vanguard. I got mine at Merrill Edge, but I don't know the difference between them all and I'm too lazy to switch.

At my current job, I have a Roth 401k.

I also use an app called Acorns. You link your credit card to it and any charge you make, it rounds up the cost, takes the spare change, and invests it for you (based on whatever portfolio you use). I got about $50 in dividends in December, but that's usually the month with the biggest payout, I think. Dividends seem to be quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. I've been using the app for 3 years, but it was very slow in the beginning (like a couple cents). The app tells me I've gained 2k since starting, but I don't know how to verify that. It seems like I only have its word to go on.

As someone who still eats meat, this would be cool. I tell myself that it doesn't really matter unless we have large scale dietary changes, cause it helps me justify still doing it.

I feel like we're actually pretty good with this already, though. I think it's more of a cultural/social obstacle than a technical one. But a lot of it technically speaking is just about masking it with the right seasonings/accessories. If you want stuff like steak or fried chicken where it's basically a hunk of meat only, then yeah that isn't at as great of a place right now.

I think we're only at the beginning stages of plant-based meats. The production rate is nowhere near traditional meats and we've only touched a few types of foods (mostly burgers AFAIK). I hope we can see plant-based meats as an additional option (i.e.: instead of chicken, carne asada, or lengua burritos, you can also choose plant-based chicken, plant-based beef, or plant-based lengua). The most important point to reach is making it the cheaper option.

What I expect is that we'll see 3-D printed food that gets flavored like, well, 'flavor ink' for lack of a better way to put it. That is to say you'll order, say, a steak and your printer will use a nutrient paste to print out a steak while several different flavor jets add in the flavor. So you could have steak for one person, chicken for the next, foei gras for the next, and round it off with a fourth person who wants baby back ribs and you all either couldn't tell or it would be close enough that you wouldn't care.

That sounds like a nightmare based on my experiences with printing black and white and the printer demanding magenta before doing anything. CAN YOU IMAGINE?!

I haven't had any trouble with it. I use it mainly when the option is available. I don't tap though. I kinda hold it over the entire screen until I hear the confirmation sound.

Congrats! When did you start? What changes did you make to your diet? Do you use any apps?

I started using an app to count calories. It's nice because if I cook something, I can enter the ingredients and get an estimate of the calories. No clue how accurate it is (doesn't help that I eyeball all the ingredients instead of measuring ), but it's better than nothing. I need to do another weigh in, but I've put if off for a month already and am scared to check.

I need to be regularly exercising too. It's hard to find time.

Dunno. At my previous work, my manager got a $20k bonus. He was sad it was "the same as last year," lol. I only got a $1000 bonus. It was never split across the pay period.
