I use my mic and shotcall a lot if I am a core. If I am a support, I talk less but usually only to the other support and whatever core I'm going to to help.

When our boss said we could take until after New Year's off (without pay or using PTO), I didn't think everyone was going to do it. I don't have PTO and I have bills to pay, so I can't do a whole week.

I guess it's nice though; I can finally turn the heat down. It's been like an oven in here!

Neil deGrasse Tyson talked about this before. He was comparing relative wealth. Say if you saw a dime, and you MIGHT pick it up (depending on if you were in a hurry or whatever). But if it's a quarter, you pick it up every time. If you scale that up to how rich Bill Gates is, it'd have to be over $45,000 for Bill Gates to MAYBE pick it up.

Anywho, a lot of people are unhappy with their lives and rather than fixing or changing it, they blame their problems on external sources beyond their control (and in this case even confront the supposed "source" of their problem). It's easier on the conscious this way.

That's why I can't get into comics. I don't know what is part of what universe and/or storyline.

I know of some key events in Batman, but I don't know the chronology or if they are even part of the same thing. I know Dick Grayson goes off to do his own thing, Jason Todd is RIP (but he comes back?!), Damien is his son biologically and the current Robin, Barbara Gordon is paralyzed by the Joker in The Killing Joke. But what's the timespan between all of these events and Year One? And there are some interpretations of The Killing Joke where Batman kills the Joker, but those can't be right because the Joker still appears in later comics (or is Barbara's paralysis separate from the Killing Joke?). And where does The Dark Knight Returns, Justice League, Crisis on Infinite Earths, New 52, and Batman Beyond fall into all of this? I'm guessing The Dark Knight Returns is just a fun "what if" scenario and not part of the chronology (because even that has its own Robin). New 52 just confuses me even more because I read it was supposed to be a redo for everyone, except Batman (he and a few others are the only ones who retain their memory from non New 52 stuff or whatever).

This was a thing in Fire Emblem Heroes early on. It took forever to level characters (that coupled with the stamina system of free to play games). The maps weren't particularly easy to grind either (the map was random, with random characters, and cost a crapload of stamina). There were "premium" skills you could get to double your exp and upgrading your castle gave more exp (but really, those skills were trash).

Now in FEH, none of that matters because after Fire Emblem Warriors came out, Intelligent Systems kinda got the hint that it was dumb because no one is gonna use a level 27 unit in PvP and it'd only be hindering new players. Leveling became way easier with the introduction of special training maps (a fixed map with easy to defeat units for easy leveling) and stamina doesn't matter anymore because most modes you don't use it.

I would second Fire Emblem Heroes. Very free to play friendly. There are a lot of modes, so it can be overwhelming for new players.

I did a whole bunch of surprise trades yesterday and got a bunch of nifty ones (including shield exclusives). I got Grookey, Ponyta, and Corsola. Oddly enough, there were a lot of Clobbopus in the bunch too.
