Assuming you're not still in your mid-late teens obviously.

I think I would be happy enough just to know I have an actual job, let alone a good one given that I got rejected from every single job I ever applied to until I graduated from university. So yeah I'd be p happy

Probably not. 16 year old me was a starry eyed optimist who believed in people. Now I'm jaded and cold to the people around me and have a hard time forming meaningful relationships.

He would probably love that I live alone, have a nice TV and have access to basically any movie, album or video game ever.

other than that, I dunno. I dont think hed much care about the other stuff.

edit: actually yeah hed probably be disappointed with where I turned out in life. He didnt exactly have major dreams or aspirations, but he definitely thought Id be somewhere better and higher

I'd have been pretty happy with finding out I'd have most of what I wanted at this point. Career maybe isn't quite as lofty as I would have hoped for at that age, but who cares when you've got a sugar momma like me.

This is an interesting question. It depends on how you look at it. In a limited sense, sixteen year old me would be overjoyed because by the time I became an adult I had achieved more and had far more "success" in conventional terms than I had ever expected at that age. But adult me hasn't been made any happier or content as a result, and in some material ways feels worse for various reasons. So I guess if sixteen year old me cared about my happiness and contentment with life as an adult, the answer would probably be no. Because not much has changed in that regard since I was sixteen. The problems are different and some things I don't have to worry about, but there are still problems.

I don't think 16 year old me would believe I read as much as I do. He'd probably make fun of me for that.
We could probably hang out for a bit, but we'd annoy each other; plus, I wouldn't hang out with a 16 year old at this point in my life anyways. I'd probably give him a book and tell him they really are good stuff.

Then - I just left school and had a job. My sister, nan and granddad was also still alive. I however had a out of place nose that couldn't be fixed until older and didn't have no niece and nephews.

Now - Family members have died, family members have been born and I have no job. I also have a scar down my stomach but have had my nose put back in place. I've met some interesting people, got into walking/hiking and went on a plane for the first time however I'm also closer to death.

The only thing that's stayed the same is the futile desire to have my own family one day. The older I get the less hope I have in that ever happening. This isn't throwing a pity party for myself this is simply just acceptance.

I'd say 16 year old me would have wanted a little more for myself at this age. Mostly a stable job and not living at home but would have also wanted to keep the people he's lost. He would be pleasantly surprised to know he also would gain new people in his life and have more confidence. That in turn would teach him it's ok to be yourself.

Yes, absolutely! Not only have I experienced and accomplished so much, I've personally grown to appreciate myself (strengths and flaws in all) way more than I did back then.

How old are you?
That seems so stressful to think of someone over 20 being the same as someone 16. It's like a double edged sword of not being responsible for much while still wanting the freedoms other adults earn.

I had someone point out that life kinda blends as you get older, but if you look back in 5 year segments you should notice some change.
If you're not happy and you don't notice change over time in your life, then something should change.

I personally hope to have a house or some more permanent form of residence in about 5 years along with being married.

Well, Im going to be 40 soon. It sort of snuck up on me. I never wanted kids and people make me uneasy so I only really go out to the store. I live in the same place I always have except for a couple years in Santa Cruz for school. Im mainly helping my elderly mother get things done around the yard and house.
