Boardwalk Empire is what made me think of this topic. Steve Buscemi is always great, but while I'm rewatching it Nucky seems to be one of the lesser likeable characters in the show. It's both in part of the writing not making him that way and most of the other characters being way more likeable and interesting. I don't dislike him, but at times I wish the show followed other characters a lot more. I do tune out when his and Margret's scenes pop up.

Deadwood kinda has the same feel. While it's an ensemble cast, they seem to have Seth Bullock be the closest "main" character. At least at first. He's alright, but most of the other characters steal the show. After a while Al is pretty much the "protagonist" of the show.

Only Scarecrow. The rest looks like cheap "streamlined" crap that's prevalent in today's cartoons. The old animation style was beautiful. The redesigns look generic as hell. Scarecrow was the only exception and he actually looked cool.

They really should have spent less time on that crazy face technology than everything else. Surely that wasn't totally needed anyway. Most of the time you can tell which choice to make with how obvious most peoples' facial expressions are. I liked the game for the most part, but it's really only good for one play through. The great world and atmosphere is kinda wasted.

They could have made Phelps more likeable and less bi polar too. The character really should have been a cool P.I. instead of an uptight cop.

I also have to give props to the score. Especially the main theme. It's beautiful.

James also doesn't have a history of screwing his fans or fellow reviewers like Doug has.

Even disregarding that, I can watch almost anything of James, while I can only still watch NC's old stuff. Once TGWTG/CA got really running, fame and power went to his head and his partners. James still has humility and seems like a regular dude you could hang out with.

I disliked the Bajoran stuff too, but come on. Sisko's awesome. Dude punches omnipotent beings and gives no fucks. I'll agree that his acting is off. Not bad, but it feels/sounds weird to me.


Plus, there's freaking Janeway, who seems mentally unstable at times.

Always kinda suspected this video. At around 7 seconds you see her face change and she looks at the camera like she wanted to make sure she was being filmed. I'm for removing confederate flags from state flags and removing confederate monuments, but leave the damn General Lee alone. The controversy over that is so stupid.

The stars and bars are a symbol of southern pride. I don't agree with it and think it's ignorant to do, but it is. It's why I don't automatically assume someone flying/displaying it is a racist. I don't remember the Duke boys being ones.

Johnny and The Lost. They did such a good job with The Lost and Damned DLC and making you like both Johnny and The Lost, but then they kinda threw all that away in V. I find it lame how they just made Johnny turn into a drug addict and still have him with his junkie (formerly ex) girlfriend who he constantly was trying to get off of drugs. The rest of The Lost get taken out pretty quick too like chumps.

I'd be OK with him being killed if it wasn't in the very first cutscene he's in. I get how they were trying to make Trevor into a crazy badass, but it could have been handled differently. He should have been Trevor's antagonist in the story instead of the Triads. Expand the Trevor vs. The Lost story and have Micheal being kidnapped by them instead of The Triads.

I know these aren't exactly deep characters and stories, but Johnny was likable and badass.

Yeah. It had more martial arts instead of just drawn out pew pew energy blasts and standing there charging up all the time. I like how it generally had a light, adventurous tone, but still could get serious when it had to.

It was only a couple of years ago where I actually watched the entire series and I loved it. I tried DBZ afterwards and just couldn't get into it even though I loved it back when.

Also kid Goku is just adorable. He will always be a weird monkey kid to me instead of an alien.

I wouldn't be surprised if the school's textbooks, computers and infrastructure are worn and crappy. My high school had computer classes that had old pieces of junk from the 90's while the football field got to have new turf.

It's one big racket. The extreme sports culture that comes with it is also a problem. Athletes (high school ones) are treated almost like gods and can get away with almost anything. What do sports have to do with education anyway?
