This was never really the case. Most scientists knew the Earth was round. The only institution that took exception to this and to the heliocentric model was the Catholic Church.

This is a major problem, and we see many cases where climate change proponents are spewing ignorant pseudo-science that's almost as inaccurate as what the climate change deniers are claiming.

This is a serious problem that needs to be discussed without overblown alarmism and emotion.

Here's a more appropriate and non-cherry-picked representation of the fluctuation of temperatures throughout the Earths history.

Take particular note of the Eemian period where temperatures fluctuated at a much greater rate and in ratios that are consistent with current trends. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eemian

The sample size and time has been to short for human interference to have a credible effect on the climate.

The problem with that graph is that the graph is compressed to a small size which makes the changes seem like they happened much more quickly than they actually did. The xkcd graph makes the problem with climate change more apparent by allowing you to contrast the sudden jump in temperature with the previous gradual changes.

I'll agree that certain people using hyperbole and exaggeration aren't helping, but nobody should be outright denying climate change because of them because it's so damn obvious at this point that the climate is being affected.

I'm an outright idiot who knows nothing about the scientific aspects of climate change, but all I have to do is go outside and also look back to how the weather has been for the past decade to know that it's real.

Which still in no way proves human intervention has raised the average temperature or that the trend will continue.

Is climate change real? Yes, it always has been and at much more extreme levels.

Are humans responsible? There's no evidence supporting the claim.

These "experts" don't even know what they're doing. Weather patterns have existed for ages. Oh, wait, I forgot that the ice age came about because the dinosaurs fired nukes and drove v8 cars!

The stupidest thing about the climate change myth is that they don't even have a point to what they're saying. No solution, just "facts." Use your brain and you'll see that this myth is just a distraction.
