There's a whole island to the south you're basically already completely overleveled for.

The one south west of Coastal Cove? Don't even know how to get there.

if you're using bloodhound's whatever you don't want to level dex beyond the min amount necessary, str is a lot better until you hit the soft cap which is 45 or 55? even tho the weapon has a better dex scaling rating the str one is still good and str gives you dmg reduction every level for some reason.

personally i do not like vigor but everyone else does, as long as i don't get 1-shot i'm fine, and i rarely did until very late game

Is it bad to level up stats past a certain point or is it just wasting a level up?

Level doesn't tell as much as where you are will.

Story wise still in the first area. I've only bothered to go to Stormveil Castle and beat Margit at the very start of it last night. Didn't progress any more yet. I've gone out and explored other areas like Liurnia of the Lakes and Caelid a bit and even got the two pendent things to activate the big lift thing to get to Atlus Plateau thanks to a little bit of research I've done. Other than that and looking up stuff locations for some somber smithing stones, I'm going in blind. I basically go exploring in unknown parts after I level up in case I die and get stuck in a bad spot to where I can't get my runes back. I'm sure I'm playing this game in a weird messed up way, but I've been having fun with it.

Besides the vigor, how (bad) am I doing stats wise?

Alight, I'll concentrate on vigor. I haven't done much story wise. Been mostly screwing around in Limgrave while doing some scary adventuring to other parts of the map.

Again, I don't know what I'm doing.

I use summons, but have trouble where they can't be used.

I've been using the Bloodhound's Fang, a kite shield on and off and am decked out in Godrick Knight armor. Here's my stats:

Vigor - 22 (Guessing this is the problem)
Mind - 12
Endurance - 23
Strength - 30
Dexterity - 27
Int - 9
Faith - 8
Arcane - 8

Just to note besides the very little I've read I have absolutely know idea what I'm doing or where I'm suppose to go. I've just been exploring and killing stuff and dying. Been having fun with it though so *shrug*.

I think a big problem is me not being able to get timing right for various things like parrying and dodging. I think I'm starting to show my age where I'm not as quick as I used to be.

Is this normal or do I just suck? The latter I'm sure. I've done some cheesing and got the Bloodhounds Fang sword that's +6 and I still feel I'm just lightly chipping away at bosses and tougher enemies. I tried going in mostly blind and I'm worried I did my character wrong or something.

I always remember the smug looking guy at the end. Cheers is one of those shows I watched back in the day on Nick at Night, but I don't remember a whole lot weirdly. Need to rewatch it some day.

I'm an electrician so I can't really do that even if I ever wanted to. Just have to take care of that before/after work.

I've heard the ICP dudes themselves were nice and cool guys. Not my kind of thing, but I never hated them or anything. Just like with a lot of things, certain hardcore fans just ruin everything and make everyone look bad.

I only played a little bit of W3 and never really got into it. I can still say the combat is better than Skyrim's because Skyrim and other modern ES games's combat is pretty much just whacking people over and over. Swords/axes/etc. might as well be sticks.

Citizens have to make damn sure they follow proper etiquette and be on their toes around cops, but cops can be as jumpy and scared as they want and can just murder anyone I'd cops are frightened enough. Hell even if you follow cops' instructions 100% in their lethal Simon Says game they can still murder you if they feel like it.

Not entirely. The Morgul-blade turns those poisoned by it into wraiths and Frodo succumbing to it and slowly becoming closer to the dark "world" of Sauron made it all worse. He was eventually healed in Rivendell, but not fully. Frodo would fall ill on the anniversaries of his stabbing until he went into the west so it was a very awful thing to happen to him. The ring itself is a strong corrupting agent and only the inherent toughness of Hobbits against "magic" and such made it bearable for such a long time for them.

And Tom Bombadil's little story is so weird and out of place, but I still enjoy it. I think he's just there for world building and to make Middle Earth seem more fantastical and mysterious. Some say he's Eru/god, but I think Tolkien said he wasn't. He can't just be an ordinary Maia because they can be corrupted by the ring. No matter what Tolkien said, he has to be Eru, one of the Valar in disguise, or one of the many unexplained "spirits" like Ungoliant. He's almost a personification of Arda itself.
