Since it's not your cat, it just seems like your roommate seems like the person who just has a cat to have a cat. Cats are relatively low maintenance, but they still need to be taking care of with grooming and attention. Even shorthairs will shed and get every where if you aren't grooming it. Kinda bullshit you have to deal with that, but if it's a single cat(and honestly it should get spayed) it's going to want to get socialization from humans because it won't be able to get it from another cat, which is why you have to deal with constant meowing, in heat or not. I don't even know if DS2 still has tons of haters like it used to, but it's only aged better with time. Hard disagree. Been replaying From Soft games, and currently working through DS2(as well as Sekiro). DS2 definitely has improvements in it's combat, and some aspects of it's design. The problem is that its level design is a combination of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls and instead of being a coherent design, it's all over the place. This was more or less perfected in Elden Ring, but I also disagree with the idea that Demon's Souls and Dark Souls both had linear progression. You can still tackle things in those games in almost any order if you wanted to, DS2 just made it 'easier'. The fact that DS2 design isn't as polished as Elden Ring, Dark Souls, or even Demon's Souls makes it a lot harder to get back into. And like I mentioned I'm also playing through Sekiro, and while being a more linear experience the amount of polish throughout every design in Sekiro is making me appreciate it a lot more, especially in comparison while playin DS2. If you are 100% sure everything is being counted correctly, the next obvious answer is just water weight. Water weight fluctuates a lot, and there is no hard line way of really measuring this because your body is majority water. Someone mentioned muscle mass. I don't know your exercise routines, but if you have never lifted, and started lifting to lose weight, that's really the only time you can get significant muscle mass while also losing fat. Which would mean you would be gaining weight too via muscle mass. Best advice is if you are doing everything correctly, just don't rely on a scale. Measure your stomach, arms, legs. Like The Witcher 1 was so bad, it's why the enhanced version exists. The OG Witcher was fucking awful and way worse than Cyberpunk. Witcher 2 had tons of performance issues, Witcher 3 was a bug ridden/glitchfest as much as Cybperpunk was. This issue has been with this company forever. People just forget about most of it, because they always turn it around. Plus the actual content behind the mess is actually good to great to some of the best. Of course your expectations as a consumer is that you have a working product but this is nothing new for a CDPR. So in a sense I agree yeah, don't be encouraging this, but in CDPR defense they always do end up making a great project at the end of it, even if other companies don't. But no, I do agree.
