Women are just forever broken to many men. They always need fixing. They're always inferior. They're always in distress. It's saddening and maddening. I'm clearly a male so I won't ever truly know or understandwhag its like but it just irks the hell out of me how to many men, Women aren't actually equals. They're basically pets or children who need micromanaging or else chaos will ensue.

The worst part is, she's likely gone through this repeatedly and perhaps she's a genuinely good person or she's learned over time that it'll never be publicly acceptable for her to snap at people like this and tell them to fuck off back to their caves, because ladies aren't supposed to act like that.

This was said when a cis boy lost to a cis girl in a wrestling competition and then the cis boy tried to attack her later not knowing she was training to be an MMA fighter. Worst part of these two messages? One was said by a woman and the other was said by a man.

On the other hand, it seems like for every misogynistic post even on a predominantly male board like CE there are at least 2-3 other posts criticizing them and sympathizing with women on whatever topic the subject is about. I haven't been in too many women-majority communities, but is the reverse true as well? Do they argue there about men's experiences, with the majority pleading for empathy and understanding? Maybe, I don't know shit. But I feel like in general the empathy thing is mainly extended to women rather than men, both by men and by women.

CE is such a wholesome community, it feels like family here.

Say what you want about 2024 but we live in a time when those kind of leggings are acceptable and Im thankful for it.

I worked with the mentally ill and substance addicted for a few years, stopped largely in part because the second hand trauma was too much. The shit my girls went through and continue to go through just destroys your faith in humanity. Imagine having to explain to a lower functioning adult woman who is sweet as can be that "no sweetie, those men weren't your friends and that's not at all how dating works. That man wasn't your boyfriend, he was a pimp, and you were being trafficked". Now imagine the look of horror on her face as it finally sinks in, the wail of agony, the weeks of shame and self loathing that came with it. She is now hopelessly addicted to amphetamines because they kept her high constantly and now she can't deal with the reality of what was done to her.

Imagine a beautiful young woman suffering from addiction who came from a wealthy family that is ashamed of her and sent her off to a group home and virtually never checks on her. She gets raped at a drug house, and the "man" who did it is known in the community to have every disease there is. She is tested and comes back positive for herpes, chlamydia and gonorrhea. Now imagine having to explain to her, who was never taught exactly how STDs work, exactly what that means for the rest of her life. Having to tell her she has to tell her boyfriend (who was actually a good and decent guy) about her condition or she could face serious legal consequences. I will never, ever forget her screaming in horror and pain asking "I CANT HAVE BABIES?!?!" and then breaking down completely (we told her she can have babies, but there's a high chance she will pass it on to them). Now imagine finding her in her room with one wrist open (I smelled copper, you smell large amounts of blood before you see it) passed out from an OD.

Imagine a young lady with 2 kids she hasn't seen in years because she can't stay clean for more than 2 months. The guardian continues to dangle the hope of seeing her kids in front of her, but the stress is too much and she realizes the group home is now her life and she will never see them again or overcome her addiction. Partly because there is a well known meth house literally 2 doors down from her safe space and there isn't a goddam thing staff can do to stop her from going there when the gravity of her situation becomes too much.

Lastly imagine a beautiful single young woman with two kids, military service, and a Bachelors degree. She could have done anything she wanted and made 6 figures supporting her family. She moved to a shitty middle of nowhere town to escape her abusive husband, and chose to do social work for $16/hr because she wanted to help others and knows what it's like to be trapped. She did well, was beloved by her clients and coworkers. She was murdered last year, literally the day her restraining order was served and that is how he found her. Shot through the door 10 times. Her final act before she left this world was screaming to her boyfriend to grab her children and get away out through the basement. That was the one that did it for me. Her name was Desiree, and I will remember her for the rest of my life and there isn't a day that goes by I don't think about her.

Oh man. A dude trying to help a stranger at golf. Presumably as an ice breaker to maybe talk and get to know her. Or even just trying to be helpful. He doesnt go into frame, so isnt in her physical space. And after he believes his help is done, the dude leaves politely.

So many better examples of what women go through. As if the dude knows shes a pro. Maybe hes the best in his group of friends and thinks he can impart help to others.

This world is so ass, holy shit.
