Let's say that they are you idea of an 818, and you both share many interests and opinions. However, they are completely deaf, and do not have cochlear implants (and does not plan to ever get them). They are able to read lips (which allows them to verbally converse so long as they are able to do so), but primarily communicates with sign language. --- |

| Solar_Crimson 09/08/17 8:54:17 PM #1 | At one point in Mother 3, the characters wash up on Tanetane Island and are forced to eat these strange mushrooms to stave off death. However, all of the characters start hallucinating (except the dog Boney, who didn't eat any of the mushrooms and can see the illusions for what they are), and things get really weird and creepy: -Mailboxes that pour out things such as 1000 rats or even more strangely, nothing at all. Nothing after nothing that keeps bursting out of it. -The character's family and friends, who all say strange and disturbing things. Such as: "I'm gonna beat you, boy. Daddy's gonna beat you." and "Everyone's waiting for you, Lucas. Waiting to throw rocks at you, and spit on you, and make your life Hell. Who's everyone? Everyone you love." -Said family and friends are actually the island's monsters, and when you first enter battle with them, they look like this: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/i75Uf0V5JwA/hqdefault.jpg -There's a hot spring on the island dolled up with all sorts of goodies, and like normal hot springs, the characters can swim in it and heal themselves. However, Boney doesn't go in and instead whimpers. When you go back after the hallucination is cured, you find that the "hot spring" was in fact a very disgusting toxic waste pit. -As all of this is going on, this music is playing:  Describing it doesn't really do it justice: it has to be seen or experienced to witness its true horror. All of that, and apparently, this is the neutered version. There was an earlier version of the island's script that was so horrifying that even the game's creator/writer was scared of it, and rewrote it to make it less scary. I am VERY curious to see what this part of the game was like in its original form. Too bad they'll likely never reveal it. :/ --- |

| Solar_Crimson 09/05/17 8:14:24 AM #1 | The helpdesk usually has four people working on it, but today only two of us are here, because: -One put in a Vacation day last week for today. -The other actually had his last day here last Friday, and has started a new job. -The third person was actually promoted to this building's tech with the departure of the previous guy, so he may be in-and-out of the office all day today. So, that really leaves only me to answer phones (most of which will not be IT-related). Plus, one of the other building techs is out, likely due to the birth of his child which he had been warning me about. Normally I would be sent to cover his building, but since we are very shortstaffed at the helpdesk, I was told that I have to cover it remotely. However, there are already tickets coming in that require a physical presence... This is going to be a long day... :/ --- |
