I'm unsure what to think so far. The game looks good, with nice bright visuals, and the soundtrack is pretty good too, but I'm not convinced about the gameplay. It kinda reminds me of Sonic games, where, everything feels good when you keep your momentum going but then kinda feels not great when you slow down. Each level has 3 optional big cogs to find and 3 optional tasks from the NPCs (things like collect x objects, collect x objects in y time, bring thing to other NPC in y time, etc.). I was a little disappointed and bored? Stevie Wonder has a ton of big hit singles that everyone knows and this had...maybe 2 of them but lesser ones at that? Higher Ground I think of RHCP first. Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing has been sound clipped into too many commercials. The rest just did not grab me very much. What was the reason behind specifically this album for Stevie? I heavily disagree, I think some of the most well-written and fleshed out characters in gaming are from the 2010s. I think maybe there's a point to argue that the characters haven't had a chance to reach "iconic" status yet but that doesn't make it a weak decade. Okay, fair point, as I did mostly have "iconic" in mind. I'm a little biased against normal, humans. Foo Fighters is a band that I've tended to enjoy their various singles over the years and yet never listened to an album. This album did not convince me to change my mind. That said, in my mind they are a quintessential band of my initial formative music listening years, when 92.3 K-Rock in New York was where it was at. Also going to pile on to the Everlong being "an absolute classic rock song" bandwagon. Funny thing, the first time I heard that song (and probably the Foo Fighters) was an acoustic cover, which the internet has thankfully archived: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-89uZOIFok. In my view, they (Arsenal) did what they had to do. They DID play really well defensively. Haaland was smothered (which seems to have worked a lot this year). City's "smalls" (Silva, Foden, KDB) just didn't have the space to make their magic. Yes, technically they wouldnt be done, even with a loss. But I think trying to chase down 2 teams is a much tougher proposition. Arsenal are improved from last season and Liverpool are going to want to send Klopp away a winner.
