It's been radio silence since then other than the announcement that the game was locked at 30. Well, as if we didn't already know based on the past few weeks, Microsoft is fucking stupid. Ninja Theory has never made a true breakout hit. Heavenly Sword and Enslaved are both are on that same level as Hellblade; ambitious and interesting but not system sellers. DmC I've still not played but from what I understand it wasn't loved at launch and has only gotten a reputation over time because it was more underrated than it should have been. Then there's Hellblade 1. (A bunch of smaller stuff too that wouldn't matter to the GFaqs audience.) Hellblade 2 looks like more Hellblade. It's going to be on Game Pass on day 1, which we know kills sales. It will very likely be a good videogame. Seanchan 05/13/24 10:42:18 AM #5	Done 2 listens so far. I'm not sure I really "get" this album. It's not actively repelling me but it also just wasn't grabbing me. Couple of other random things: I finished Cowboy Bebop. It was okay? Definitely does not go crazy like Evangelion. A much more grounded and character driven story. I did a bit of reading afterwards, and apparently part of its appeal was that it was so very different than other anime that had been released in the west before that time. Also, the character of Edward was based on Yoko Kanno. New Dua Lipa album was released last week. Seanchan 05/12/24 9:07:04 PM #191	I'm honestly not sure exactly what caused the issue. It wasn't too bad today; noticeable but not as bad as Friday. Attempted 150 OHP today and did not come close. Kind of knew that would be the result based on the build up sets. Ah well. Feels like when I'm near my limit that I need to have a light week before I go for the PB. I've really been enjoying doing super sets for the arm work though. Like for curls, doing 8@50, then 11@40, then 12@30, with only enough rest in between for a quick trip to the water fountain. Swimming season is almost upon me again, and once I start swimming 4-5 times a week it really kills my energy and lifts. Seanchan 05/11/24 11:24:58 AM #189	I don't know what I did, but I did something. Lower back (top of butt crack area) has been no good the past few days. I noticed it a bit on Thursday doing bench; not during the sets but if I was sitting and bent over to tie my sneakers, I felt a heavy/pulling kind of feeling. Golf on Friday was terrible because I was thinking about my back the entire time. There's not really pain, just "awareness". I can walk and move just fine. Certain stretches and bends though don't feel great. Naturally, today I took it really easy and light for leg day. Did higher rep, sub body weight squats. Even went back to the lower bar back squat for the first time in months. Probably just because the weight was light but there were no issues with the lower back. If anything, I felt something more doing machine work (leg press, curl, extension). Seanchan 05/11/24 8:36:10 AM #26	Evil West beated! A perfectly cromulent "3 out of 5" videogame. It was a nice throwback to non-open world design. A lot of shit going on in combat, and it could at time be a little overwhelming. Later on, it got to the point of just flipping through all your weapons until the cooldowns were done. They were at least nice with giving multiple mid-fight checkpoints to the last 2 boss battles. That said, I wish the game was a little more lenient with letting you go backwards to get missing collectibles. There were many times where the main path wasn't clear, and if you happen to jump over the "main" waist high obstacle, then you couldn't go back to explore the side paths. Did it really matter that much? I also realized what was causing my forearm issues with pullups/pulldowns. I was getting the bar too into my fingers, which would then cause me to bow my wrist back. Once I got the bar more into my palm, boom, no pain and I felt much stronger. I ended up liking that one more because it was more about the hunt. Doing 315, I got the 1st rep, then on the 2nd my right hand (the underhand one) couldn't hold out after I got above my knees. Was hoping for 3 reps but only got 1... I tried to regroup and go again but I was mentally done for heavy sets. Did get a nice 13@225 afterwards to somewhat make up for it. I've always done left hand over, right hand under for the heaviest set, as that's what felt the most natural. But I might have to revisit. (And yes, I do switch it up each set to avoid imbalances.) I've also been doing these deadlift rows on deadlift day too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpn-SVawj9w ....obviously with a lot less weight than that beast. There's also a seemingly crucial upgrade that allows you to use energy to heal.
