I mean, it feels just like Nexus when they beat up all the main event guys with little exposure.

It was legitimately surprising, well done, and they have plenty of room to continue legitimizing themselves.

And I think Cody is absolutely someone who will make anything meaningful or special, and you could throw him in there with Omega again and he would feel just as much a main eventer despite tangling with QT here.

I do have concerns they do a lot of their stuff on Dark and Elevation, and they just need to do something to get more exposure for those shows if they're going to meaningfully try to build up people there. Like if you watch those shows, QT has been doing a lot of good work on those to foreshadow this. But the reach for that is only so much.

I think it's different booking styles.

Cody feuding with QT was a whatever thing that felt like it would be a one-off like Penta. But then they escalated it and they had a full faction just decimate Cody and his friends.

I mean, I'm assuming they asked him this question, and he's mentioning other people and building up their cred. He's not bullshitting people. He's just giving a more honest answer.

And Daniel Bryan could leave, and I'm sure that AEW would throw money at him to get him, but WWE probably just offered even more (assuming his last contract was signed when AEW was around). But for guys like Christian and Big Show, they've been doing this for even longer and have presumably been smart with their money so far. They're getting paid good in AEW, but WWE didn't care about Christian or Big Show and barely tried to get them to stick around on a legends contract to block them.

Moxley was a current main eventer who left because he knew his star power could grow from his current level without being under WWE's thumb, and the timing was right with AEW.

Listen, I don't blame him, or anyone else, for staying in WWE. Daniel Bryan has a family now. He's trying to make enough money to give his kids a good life. So yeah, he could want to wrestle all these people, but this is where the safest money is for him.

I only have a problem with people who don't really have a family they want to support and aren't in a top position to make loads of money and then complain about WWE not using them right so they can get to that level and it's like... you have to know what company you're getting into. They can't use some of the best talent in the world in a decent way and haven't for years now, and it's worse than it's ever been. If you get into it now and later complain about not being elevated to a point, that's on you. But if you're there and happy with your paycheck and your position, all the power to you.

Worth noting in this conversation is that Jack Dorsey has recently said "Blocking all the Hunter Biden stuff was a mistake." And frankly, that's the stuff I'm more worried about than banning idiots like Trump. Big tech has their own interests in mind, and they'll do whatever the fuck they want.

Let them ban people who break their (reasonable) TOS, but don't actually mute topics and shit. The problem I have is that they even waited until after Trump was out of office before banning him. I'm a huge fan of Arrested Development and Archer, and she was still so awesome when I caught up on the last season of Archer. Just brought her all into every role, even voice acting. She just knew how to be so fucking funny. Just such a talent and gave myself and others so much joy.

Im not going to defend Dan too much, as I agree he acted sleazy and ghosting is never a cool move, but its worth noting that Dan did start dating his current girlfriend sometime in 2018, which is around when the bulk of these accusations are and who is around the same age as the specific girl that kicked this whole thing off (and maybe also a fan?) so its possible he was genuinely looking for a relationship at the time. But talking about a women's autonomy when they're lied to for months upon months and led to believe that there is something more to come from this, and it's by someone they idolize and adore and made them feel special? No, it's not that simple anymore. You don't actually have full autonomy anymore. Because someone else is warping the stakes of it to such a degree that, if they knew the actual truth of the situation and the dynamic was different, they likely wouldn't make the same decision.
