Actually yeah The Good Dinosaur was the only one. I loved Inside Out earlier that year and was ready for another Pixar classic. Halfway through I got really bored and realized I wasted my money, figured I wasn't going to waste anymore of my time either.

I've never not finished a movie, at theater or at home, no matter how bad it is. I don't take criticisms seriously from people who don't finish things, which means I will finish no matter what, so that my opinion is valid.

I was probably being far too cynical with it, but the breaking point for me was when they killed Arlo's dad. It was just really predictable and felt a little too similar to Lion King. I stuck around to see if it got better, but it never really did I don't think it's a horrible movie, just really generic.

Yes. Superman Returns is the only movie I've walked out of and it was only cause the friends I was with wanted to leave. It wasn't good yeah but generally if I'm at the movies I'm gonna watch what I paid for.

My dad took early-teen me and my 11-year-old brother to see the original Borat, having somehow done zero research, and he walked us all out after about 5 minutes.

Not because the movie was bad.

I did however leave a movie early once because I got sick.

Identity Thief, Plan 9 From Outer Space Rifftrax... that's all I can think of, though I believe there might be a few more. Oh, and The Shallows, but that was partly an anxiety attack.

The Bourne Supremacy

Within the first 10 minutes. None of us saw the first so we left and got refunds. Should have never bought the ticket really...

I almost made the same comment, including the same movie - I've seen technically worse movies since Brightburn, but there was something downright repulsive about experiencing that film

One of my friends made all of us leave 'Snatched' about 20-25 minutes in. He couldn't deal with the accents.

We saw it later and still give him shit about it every once in awhile cause it was a good movie.

I walked out of the third Lord of the Rings movie because my friend who already saw the movie told me there was another hour and half after the climax. I'm like "I'm not watching that shit" and walked out.

I had to shaperone my nephew and his friends (they were 16) when they were watching some rated R boxing movie, Southpaw. I had no interest in watching it (my ticket was paid for). So I walked out at the start. I went into see Pixels and left after just 30 minutes because holy shit that movie was awful.

Thankfully no, I've always been pretty good at seeing stuff that I know will be good, or at least that I'll enjoy.

Also have been pretty good at telling my friends no thanks when they invite me to see something that I know is going to be trash

i save that for renting

Midsommar. At about the part where Danny Rebus and Dollar General Star-Lord were arguing about their theses, I looked up the plot on Wikipedia to see if it got any better. When I saw it didn't, I left and asked for my money back.

I walked out of Benjamin Button while it was still playing, but that was because the fire alarm was going off. There were about 30 minutes left in the 3+ hour movie

but also, because I didnt think it was particularly good, I went back the next day to watch a different movie for free instead of finishing it

No but I was forced out once when my friends and I bought tickets to a Nicolas Cage movie (Knowing) and went to an R-rated movie instead (Miss March). Ironically we were all 17 anyway but none of us had ID. We ended up watching Nicolas Cage to the end

The Witch. I found the characters so dull that I really couldn't give a shit what happened to them.

Then a friend told me about the bizarre scene at the end, and I was sad I walked out before what was probably the best part of the movie.

Rare for me to really dislike a movie that I'm seeing in theaters. There's heavy selection bias there.

Regardless, I have a thing where I really dislike stopping a movie once I've started no matter what. It's a compulsion that I follow so I can log it on my Letterboxd.

No, I never have. If I'm going to the theaters I generally WANT to see it and will see it through

on a side note

The only time I"ve fallen ASLEEP while watching a movie is Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull

same but to be fair I was at a lock in for my high school senior graduation thing and I think I caught a 3am showing and by that point me and all my friends were just waiting until we were allowed to leave

I also almost fell asleep during The Dark Knight and Endgame. Dark Knight is because I had midnight tickets for the IMAX showing, the bulb blew out, and the midnight showing got pushed until like 2:30 or 3:00am. Leaving a movie and seeing the sun come up is not good. Endgame I caught a 1:30am showing but it was right after I got done working a 10 hour shift. About halfway through I realized with the trailers and how long the film is it was already like 330am and I had made a huge mistake

I think I'm too old for these late night showings.

I almost walked out of my room while watching Flushed Away. Does that count? I had to pause it several times.

Fuck that movie, seriously.
