No, Max doesn't even consider using the fire axe. The only ways to save her are by using the wire cutters or by using a crowbar to pull a wedge out of a big circular thingy, then rolling that down to destroy the train switch

I don't think Falcom is going to break the status quo by making Rean/Alisa fully canon and risk pissing off the fans who shipped Rean with one of the thousand other girls in his harem.

I can confirm that this would make me angry. Alisa is the worst match for Rean

I don't see the USA being overcome but I also don't think they have the population to truly occupy two of the largest countries on the planet

I was going to suggest The Longest Journey. The first game has some of those old moon logic puzzles that plagued early adventure games but was otherwise fine. Dreamfall was a step back, sadly, but Dreamfall Chapters was a great take on the Telltale formula that really pulled the whole series together, I thought

What do you think of Chloe's new VA? I think she's doing a good job, and given her age (and copious consumption of recreational substances), it's not hard to assume that Chloe's voice would have changed a bit over the intervening years.

I think she's great. She's no Ashly Burch but she's a fine stand-in. It's actually a lot of other returning characters having different voices that's throwing me off. I haven't checked this but I swear nobody has the same VA and it's especially off for Justin

How would I like this if my favorite character was Max and I didn't really have a strong opinion on Chloe either way.

So far, Max is definitely an influence on Chloe's character and I feel like I've gotten some new insights into her, but obviously she isn't here. I think Chloe is enough to carry this but I can also see others feeling differently

For my part, I liked Terra's amnesia plotline (though it was a bit sad the game never explored the implications of certain things) and her subplot with the orphans was one of the best parts of FFVI

Fun fact: a homeless person wandered into my workplace and started waving around a knife ten minutes before my second save came up. I had to hurriedly make my late save in the fifteen seconds I had before giving the police a statement after they showed up and handcuffed the guy

Luckily the round turned out okay even though I screwed up my save! If Yuna had died because of a knife weilding vagrant I would've been miffed
