I used to a lot in primary school. I dunno bout now but back then it was actually taught to small children along with block writing. We had those old school double lined writing books for practice. I went through a whole phase where that's all I wrote. As I got older I lost the need for it. I still have an extravagant signature though.

I used to do it religiously but a couple years back I stopped. I really don't think it makes huge difference to dental health for all the effort. It's mostly cosmetic. To stop little bits of food being stuck in your front teeth where everyone can see. But you just have to be more thorough brushing. I switched from a medium bristle brush to soft which helped a lot. At first it didn't feel like it did enough cleaning but it does, since you can use it longer without bruising your gums.

That is incorrect. thicc with 2cs originates from Crip culture. In Crip culture aything that has "ck" is replaced with "cc" because "ck" is Blood code for Crip Killer. This practice was carried over to "Black Twitter" which in turn was co-opted by "Gay Twitter" before proliferating into popular culture.

Black Twitter and Gay Twitter are often the same thing. Even the white gays use a lot of black slang for some reason. Thanks for the background info.

Dude the poll wasn't euphemistic. It asked if she fat or thick/thicc. I explained what thicc is so she's obviously not that. She's fat. And more on the saggy side if it too.

It's a good thing I didn't mention her ass is pretty flat too despite its size. A lot of fat people have large-but-flat asses because you need some amount of glute muscle for a perky butt. Not just fat. Actual thicc girls/guys have large protruding bubble butts. That's the whole reason why its thicc with 2 Cs. You are here busy being offended for her when judging by her expression, she is very happy with her look and couldn't care less who critiques.

She's not just fat but shapeless slobby fat. There's fat girls that are more firm and look better. But thats still not thicc either. For girls it's a really big ass/hips (boobs don't have to be big) with a relatively flat stomach. I see them everywhere here. She's not even in the same galaxy. There's thicc for men too which is beefy without being shredded/bodybuilder type. Think dad bod but more muscle.

Men should have always aged better than women but the reason they didn't is traditionally they did hard physical labour work like mining, construction etc which takes a toll. Especially if you always in the Sun which is a major aging factor. That and they lived unhealthy lifestyles relative to most women like tons of smoking tobacco, drinking etc. Nowadays guys are more conscious of their appearance and also hard labour has drastically reduced.

As for me people think I'm in my 20s still. At my great aunt's funeral my father's friend got introduced to me as his youngest son. She was like wow you're very young to be his son. And I was like how old you think I am. She said 25. And I was like nah put on 10 years. She was shocked.

Now people can troll with it an no one is sure whether they serious or not. That said this kind of "real life satire" is still much better than the other kind which I mentioned earlier.

I used to be a bank teller and dealt with 100s of people a day. Inevitably you'd get assholes who came with every intention of looking for trouble. Funnily enough in my case they were nearly all men. I rarely got a bad woman customer but the girl tellers sure did. So there was definitely a gender dynamic thing going on. My strategy for dealing with them if they weren't satisfied with my answers bout what state their accounts were in was to pause them right in their tracks and go call my supervisor in person.

I see... I actually missed this post

I am very white skinned, quite pale, but as far as ethnicity goes - and forgive me if I explain it sloppily for lack of extensive knowledge - My mom's side of the family is Puerto Rican. Her grandparents (my great grandparents) both from Puerto Rico. Her father I believe is what one refers to as Louisiana French? Or Creole? I don't know, I always get confused about it - But he is a lighter skinned black man from Louisiana - who was not in her, or my own life, for the greater part of it. We had to "rediscover" him after she finally came around and told the story - I faintly remember her finally coming forward about the origins, she kind of paused and she was like "and he, is actually...." and i was like

"black?"

"Yes"

Which I mean is kind of a "DUH." thing since I grew up with a black cousin/uncle.

So anyway, she came out light skinned (i just figured we were white people with Puerto Rican origins), and her brother came out dark ("black"), and then she has another brother from a different guy (same mom) who was German but that's another branch.

So my dad's side is whatever flavor of Caucasian they happen to be, white people country folks, I hear maybe his dad has Polish, there are even stories about pirates and I'm not really sure, but his mom is also from Louisiana I believe. And we are from Texas.

I did some of that ancestry.com digging stuff and to no surprise (but a bit of a revelation), there were slave owners on my dad's side of the family

And with another thing to note, his grandpa, my great grandpa, they say, was a Freemason! Which might have something to do with why my life is so weird, but I would have no idea because obviously, I don't know much about it/them, except for the fact that the idea of secret societies weirds me the hell out.

So the roots are kind of all over the place, but that's the gist of it

Hispanic, black, white, it's kind of a tossup

Oh right, those weren't the only children, she has at least two other black siblings, by her dad, but not by her mom, as far as I can remember.

I've told all this stuff at least once before, but here it is again

Yeah my neice looks white but is actually mixed. Her father is German and mother (my sister) is a light skinned black woman. In the Caribbean here so theres a lot of racial mixing going on both in the past and now. It's mostly black now with a quite large Asian set (mostly from India/Pakistan with a much smaller Chinese set) and then Whites who are a small set. My family originally came from England/Ireland and mixed in (tho we still have white members). My grandfather (fathers side) was a white businessman who had like 2 or 3 wives one of whom was a black Yankee and that's my fathers mother. On my mothers side her gran was the daughter of an English plantation owner and her ethnicity is up in the air. She straight up looked white but my gran always said she was really a mulatta woman (white/black slave mix) since these white guys were known to step outside marriage a lot with black servant women but the children didn't have the same status. Fast forward now and my immediate family is black (minus neice), most of my older cousins etc are white and I'm sure we got some Indians somewhere too.

I don't mind having an expensive phone if you're gonna keep it a good while. Thus skipping many later iterations. It's the people that always scrambling to keep up with the latest (and can't afford to) that make me eyeroll. I'm still here chugging along with my S8. It was hot and expensive at the time but has ended up being worth the value.

I haven't felt the need to change it in nearly 4 years. And it's been pretty easy not to be tempted because all their later models look like shite. The s8 is still their most stylish model which is sad. The ones right after that were thicker and clunky. Then later on they keep clawing for more and more camera power like if any normal person needs that. These multi camera looks are so bad. They look like tumors on the phone. Iphone is also guilty. The S21 looks horrible. S20 was the one that almost got me to buy a new phone because it recaptured some of the lost style with more slim form and multi camera that wasn't as obnoxious.

I'm just curious

I don't get the whole idea, it's like you beat the game but you're saying you'd never pick it back up again?

Doesn't it still have replay value?

Replaying as you call it was never part of the equation. This was pre covid but most people I dealt with until last year were tourists. They would only be looking for hookups before they went back to whichever country they came from. A few I saw more than once if they were staying a while, but that wasn't often. Even with one offs it was still long enough for me to get a sense of the kind of people they were. Some were clearly no use. More than once I got compared "favourably" to other locals since I didn't act how they perceived us all to be (bad mannered, thuggish, only looking for money etc). I had my own issues with locals but those bad kinds were in the minority. You could say these visitors were ignorant since they didn't know much about us and were only here for fun. Others didn't have that excuse because they were expats living and working here.

Also your grandfather is black? Are you white? It seems a lot of white Americans have black extract and don't know. I mean it should be obvious why with the slave history and all.

I went for 9 months back in 2018-2019. It was very tough at first but I coped and after a while started seeing gains. But the gym environment is not for me. The one I used was very popular because it was relatively cheap so was always crowded. It got very tiresome. Even pro fitness and bodybuilders went there. The best part was lowkey checking out all the big booty men. Even the slim ones had ass. But when that became the main draw rather than my own gains I knew I was over it and quit. I still keep in contact with my personal trainer though. So I know if I want to jump on the fitness train again he'll help me. Ideally I want a small home gym where I can work out whenever I feel like and not be around a ton of sweaty loud people. That's gonna cost money I don't have right now.

I'm agreeing with you Zeus but I think the topic is far more shallow than you making it out to be. TC is just going off looks and powers when talking about coolness. Well that's what I graded them on not their relative success or cohesion. It's hard to compete with Kubo on making cool looking characters. Though looks are subjective there's a certain stereotypical cool look and style he really nails. Ressureccion was another layer of cool to add on top their already cool base designs, and that's still not their individual powers yet. So it's like 3 layers of coolness for an Espada. Oda can come up with a lot of cool looks too as much as he does ugly shitty ones. If you did a spread of all 3 groups alongside each other and showed them to non anime fans I doubt the Akatsuki would win in popularity. I was gonna mention Kisame too but he's ugly lol. Though his power and attitude makes him cool. Some characters like him or Kenpachi don't need to be pretty.

Oda is an underrated artist. I heard lots of bad things about OP art before reading it and when I finally did I was like what were people talking about. I think they must be confusing him drawing ugly and wacky looking characters at times with being a bad artist. He draws amazing landscapes and scenery which is a lot more than you can say for Kubo. The current Wano arc art has been his best in the whole series and the anime is really showing it off.

I'd say Kubo is more elegant and minimalist. Both of them are better artists than Kishimoto. And Horikoshi for that matter. People always rave about MHA art but its often messy. Hori is a big fan of Kubo and tends to focus on huge character panels just like him. But he should have taken note from his idol on how to draw clean and sexy action sequences.
