well, let me answer that with three statements

  1. I am not saying blood vials are SOLELY responsible for the phenomena I am describing. it is the combination of many factors, and I feel like we (or you specifically) are getting way too bogged down in the efficacy of blood vials and ignoring the overall point that I'm trying to make. so I want to try and at least steer this discussion in a direction that is more productive. we can keep talking about blood vials if you want to, but I was more talking about the overall high skill ceiling of blood borne, and how easy it is to achieve the platinum compared to other games
  2. I don't know specifically how much faster blood vials are, or the recovery time, but I know they are fast enough that I was able to basically face tank and heal my way through the entire game on my first playthrough without learning the correct patterns or techniques for fighting any of the bosses. this may only be my personal experience, but it's flat out impossible for me to do the same in every other souls game. and from what I've watched of other people playing bloodborne, and other souls games, the high reliance on blood vials, and the high level of reliability that you can use to face tank your way through fights without learning the mechanics, is pretty consistent -- especially for first clears.
  3. yeah counter damage in this game is nuts. there are many attacks that I don't try to dodge, nor would I recommend trying to dodge, because it's simply better to just get knocked on the ground with 30% of your health remaining instead of failing to time the dodge and getting one hit killed.
if you want me to discuss the other factors other than blood vials that lead to the expert's dilemma being so prevalent in bloodborne, I'd definitely be into that. I love talking about the mechanics of bloodborne in depth. but, more often than not, nobody cares nor does anyone want to hear it, so I'm not going to harp on it any further if no one is interested.

the time it takes to use one, and the time it takes to recover back to a neutral state after using one, is very fast. that's actually the main thing I'm referring to. the fact that you get to hold a bunch of them, and that they become stronger as you level your main defensive stat, are also contributing factors. and yeah I'm glad we do get so many, because builds that rely on blood bullets are a TON of fun to play. I certainly don't hold it against the developers for making it possible for bad players to beat their game, nor do I hold it against bad players for using the tools given to them in order to brute force their way through the game. I'm simply stating the fact that many people can clear bloodborne, even get the platinum trophy, and still have no idea what they are doing. this is true in all souls games to some extent, but I feel it is the MOST true in bloodborne. because blood bullets, how easy it is to get the platinum, how high the skill ceiling is, how many mechanics that you can just completely ignore and still beat the game, etc. etc.

I have no idea what this discussion is about but as someone who has played like 8 billion hours of bloodborne, I can say this; the game has an EXTREMELY high skill ceiling that most players don't even begin to approach. it takes multiple playthroughs, typically, before you start to fully understand all of the mechanics of the game and how to apply them in real situations. blood vials are so powerful, they make it so that anyone, even someone who sucks at Bloodborne, can clear the game once. save scumming makes it so that anyone who can beat the game once can get the platinum trophy. the end result? a pretty widespread lack of knowledge of even the basic mechanics and strategies of the game, even among the base of people who should be able to provide expert knowledge.

yeah like in the souls games there's no way anyone is going to convince me to go and collect every single spell and every single miracle in the game. especially how you need to grind really stupid requirements for several of them. but in bloodborne, there's like... less than a dozen hunter tools to collect. and you will get all of them if you just explore every area of the game. same with the weapons. a few of them do at least require you to play a certain quest in full, but if you're beating the game three times anyway, chances are you're going to do all of the quests you missed in your first playthrough in the second playthrough. and unlike, some of the souls games which REQUIRE you to play through multiple NG cycles to get all of the quest rewards, you can get ALL of the bloodborne quest rewards in a single playthrough if you really want.

Good job. And yeah the Platinum Trophy in Bloodborne is PARTICULARLY easy to get. I never go out of my way in any game to try and unlock trophies, and Bloodborne is the only Platinum that I've ever gotten as a result. You basically just get it by doing everything that you could reasonably be expected to do if you genuinely love playing the game.

Actually easier to just do it anyway, that way I don't have to wait on your response, then you wait on my response lol

https://youtu.be/DbDdf7rGsGA

edit: this is actually a much stronger depth 5 FRC Amygdala, which is why it take so long to chip down its health. but the same strategies work. if you can camp the outside of the right leg you're almost 100% safe. if you get forced out of this position, it can be hard to get back, especially in the second and third phase. there are some combinations where it can be useful to stay in front, let him do a long combo, and aim for the head, but you have to be in a VERY large room for this to work and also have a good understanding of the spacing/timing, as well as a weapon with a moveset that can consistently hit the head.

empty phantasm shell is better for attempts because fire paper and volt paper don't restock between deaths, but the phantasm shell uses QS bullets which restock between deaths automatically, and can be fueled with blood bullets using blood vials -- which also restock automatically.

The DLC has some pretty good areas. Fishing Hamlet is very cool in a lot of ways, although I wish it had sprawled a little bit more rather than focusing on small encounters with overly powerful enemies. The Research Hall is a bit of a genuine dungeon crawl, more in line with what I really like in my games. It's not on the level of Brume Tower or Shulva, but it's definitely close.

Martyr is such a weird fight for me. Sometimes i am in the zone and can get through him relatively easily, other times i have a weird brain setting turned on and he completely wrecks me.

it's one of my most inconsistent fights as well. one of the big reasons is because he's one of the few bosses that never appears in the chalice dungeons. as a result, you really only fight him ONCE per playthrough. add to that his janky movement, his weird hitbox, etc. etc.

difficult fight + I don't fight him as often as other bosses = really inconsistent

some things that probably do help a lot;
  1. He staggers more easily than other bosses. If you stay on him and keep hitting him, you can stunlock him into a pretty long combo chain.
  2. He can be parried. Although I find it really annoying to try and parry him, some people are probably way better at it than I am.
  3. When he sticks his sword in the ground, and a million flying blades shoot at you from every direction, you can actually lock on to the sword in the ground and shoot it with your gun. When you do that, the flying swords also stop spawning. Although in theory this makes the final phase of the fight easier, the reality is that it's still pretty difficult/annoying to try and lock onto the blade and shoot it while Logarius himself is constantly top of you attacking you and there's projectiles flying at you from every direction. But in theory it should be possible.
He's still a lot more aggressive in that final phase so it can still be tough. All in all, for me, it's a fight that I can usually win if my damage output is high enough. But if my weapon is still lacking in upgrades, and especially lacking in blood gems, I won't even bother. Easier to win by out damaging him rather than relying on finesse or skill..

You can still meet Eileen even if you fail to complete her quest. If you go to the Grand Chapel, where you fought Vicar Amelia, she will be waiting there to fight you. If you complete her quest line, this is where you would normally fight the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst.

Bloody Crow, despite not even being a boss, is considered by lots of people to be one of the hardest bosses in Bloodborne. Fighting Eileen there is a little bit easier.

Nevermind, I'm dumb. I found the PNG that shows the mandatory dungeons to clear, in what order, as well as which floors you can skip over. It was saved as an album, that's why I didn't find it right away. Well, I highly recommend using this to make the experience go a little more smoothly.

Things to note:

Make sure you fully explore every layer of every chalice so you aren't missing materials for the next one. If you are missing something, check with Google as to where you can find/farm it.
PS+ is required for glyph searches.

  1. Pthumeru Chalice
  2. Central Pthumeru
  3. Lower Pthumeru - Make sure you get the Workshop Haze Extractor from Layer 2. There are 4 layers in this chalice.
  4. Ailing Loran
  5. Defiled Chalice
  6. Lower Loran and Great Isz - Order doesn't matter.
  7. Pthumeru Ihyll
Once the above is done, make any root chalice with all three rites (Fetid, Rotted, Cursed - referred to as FRC). Making an FRC Isz root is one of the faster/cheaper ones. You do not need to complete whatever FRC root you make.

You now have access to all important glyphs. Use the "Search by Chalice Glyph" function to create the dungeon you need. This will not consume materials.

The Bloodborne Sheets - Has glyphs for gems and other goodies.

I saved this from an old reddit thread a while ago and I still look back at it every so often when I need a reminder. Although I used to have a .png version that also told you which floors you can 'skip' in the mandatory dungeons. I wish I could find that. I also have The Bloodborne Sheets bookmarked, so I can provide that:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1syKnSKflHbFiGY4pXkfIeXoMa2Lp9X1aXyme2qaTen4/htmlview#

However, there have been times where some of the glyphs on here have been outdated and the codes no longer work, so sometimes it takes a few tries to find what you're looking for. Either way, that's a long ways off. It's not worth using root dungeons or chalice glyphs until AFTER you have access to FRC Depth 5 Dungeons. Anything before that is a waste of your time.

With regards to Blood Gem set ups, I won't overwhelm you with too much information, but anything that gives +% Physical Damage or +% Damage is usually going to be optimal, at least for the time being. You'll pick up a number of gems just playing through the mandatory chalice dungeons, and start to get actually good ones around Depth 2 or 3. Enough to boost your attack power. Some enemies in the DLC also drop Blood Gems in a decent +% Physical Damage range, so it can be worth it to play the DLC a bit until you get a few extra gems. Especially if you're using multiple weapons.

There is a sheet that describes the optimal gem slot set up, and the gems to put into each slot, for each weapon. I'll share that as well later on if you need it, but that's not something you will need until/unless you get absolutely DEEP into the game. This is a mechanic very few people ever fully engage with.

rifle spear has a lot in common with the pizza cutter now that I think about it. both of them have that 1H->2H mindset, seeming to have the perfect speed, damage output, and feel in either mode. both of them don't particularly rely on the L2 for standard combat, so they feel like they are 'down' a move in their moveset compared to other weapons, but make up for it in their insane reliability with L1, R1, and R2 attacks. to be honest, most weapons in the game have at least one button you'll rarely press with that weapon. so if that button happens to be L2 it's not a huge deal.

pizza cutter is near the top, but I could probably gush about almost every weapon in the game at this point. there's a few that feel a bit clunky compared to the top tier weapons but most everything is fun in some way... and most weapons shine in at least one particular situation.

among my favorites are

hunter axe - the spin to win works perfectly in the context of this specific game and you can see that it was designed with the rally system in mind. you can take several attacks while diving into a horde of enemies, and recover all of the health as you slash through them. it also has an absurd amount of stagger and knockdown that can send almost any enemy in the game flying, including many enemies that can't be moved by any other attack. the only negative thing I have to say about this weapon is that it makes me never want to use the Kirkhammer, because this handles so much better for the exact same build.

reiterpallasch - I just think a gunblade is cool, and this thing is the ultimate hunter killer. including bosses like lady maria. it's so easy to set up parry with it, and since it's a dex weapon, your visceral attacks likely do high damage.

rifle spear - very underrated weapon that is good without really needing to shoot. the key feature is the ability to swap between a one handed and two handed moveset, with a variety of attacks that have good range and tracking. it just handles in a very satisfying way, while outputting solid damage and stagger. although the fact that it's another gun blade is cool, too. the stagger from the pellets is useful, especially with the wide firing radius, but you won't really get a lot of damage out of this gun.

saw spear - despite being one of the most basic weapons in the game it's also one of the most effective, and I'll never get over how cool the L1 attack chains are.

Yeah I remember on my first playthrough I would switch back and forth between advancing in the main story, and advancing in the chalice dungeons. At one point I was taking a break from story progress by doing chalice progress, and vice versa, so it was like I was taking a break from Bloodborne by playing more Bloodborne.

Probably the #1 thing I would change about the game would be to make Chalice progress global across all characters, not just across NG cycles. At this point I have done the mandatory chalice dungeons SO MANY times, I really don't enjoy that part of the game anymore at all. I do like the endgame chalice stuff, but it takes so long to get a character to that point, and it'd be so much better if the game would let me just immediately go into the depth 5 randomized dungeons without needing to do the entire sequence on every single fresh file.

Yeah I also prefer keeping Insight as high as possible since it makes the game more interesting and fun.

this is a bizarre take because the main thing it changes is making Nightmare of Mensis and Nightmare Frontier more difficult. the two areas that I see people complaining about THE MOST when discussing Bloodborne. well, if you find the idea of making the most hated areas in the game more annoying/difficult as more fun, I won't judge you for that.

WazzupGenius00 posted...
and just spend all the echoes you get on vials so you never have to worry about it anymore

personally I prefer to spend all of my echoes at the start of the game on blood vials, when vials are cheap, and levels are less impactful. this prevents me from ever needing to grind during the run. but this is coming from the point of view of someone who has beaten the game many times, so I'm sure other people feel differently. I definitely noticed that new players are incredibly resistant to the idea of buying blood vials in this game until they are absolutely backed into a corner and have 0 vials left, and then complain about the grinding. I guess the +1 damage they got from leveling up, increasing their damage from 250 to 251, was really important.

Insight Shop is a better use.

specifically the best thing to buy are Blood Rocks because they are the one weapon upgrade material that is a PAIN to get otherwise. even for being as expensive as they are in the Insight Bath, they are still worth that price in my opinion. especially since, when they become available to buy, you'll be wanting to keep your insight near 0 all the time anyway.

_Blur_ posted...
Whoa I never realized you got new enemies with high insight.

in Hemwick Charnel Lane, it will spawn those shadow monsters with scythes in various spots throughout the level. if your Insight is very low, you won't see these guys. they'll only appear inside of the Witches of Hemwick boss room.

interestingly, if you lower your Insight to 0, the Witches will be unable to summon any shadow dudes. since you gain 1 Insight when you enter the boss room, you have to intentionally die or warp out, spend all of your Insight, and then come back with 0. that's why it's probably not well known.

as for the Charnel Lane thing, most people likely only played the game once and then saved scummed to get all three endings. so they either saw the shadow monsters or didn't see the shadow monsters in Carnel Lane, and never knew there were two different "versions" of the level.

  1. Reading through the thread slowly, I was actually going to suggest checking to see if you had turned the music down to 0, but I was a bit sad to see that you figured it out already on your own. I missed my chance to be a hero...
  2. Low insight is actually better than high insight. I don't know if KP made a typo or was just providing incorrect info, but I figured I would mention it. Low Insight gives higher Frenzy resistance, which will make certain areas of the game MUCH less frustrating. Low insight also gives higher Beasthood, which will increase the damage from your Beastblood Pellet buff, and make the meter longer, so that it doesn't run out as quickly. High insight.... gives you nothing in particular. It makes more enemies and more dangerous enemies appear in a very, very small number of areas.
  3. Get some Blood Gems from the Chalice Dungeons and put them into your weapon as soon as you upgrade it. Also, prioritize upgrading your weapon. The best source of damage is going to be blood gems and weapon upgrades. You don't need to spend ridiculous hours grinding for the best blood gems. Just +15% damage or even as little as +11% damage gems will make a HUGE difference. Without those gems, it will start to feel like it takes forever to kill enemies, which makes everything in the mid-to-late game feel much harder.

honestly I'm pretty strongly biased against the idea of anyone being locked up for any reason. I think it's a really horrible punishment. but I also acknowledge there are some people so messed up in our society that I'm not sure what else you can really do about them to prevent them from hurting other people.

anyway, in much better news, I'm getting close to the point where I can start posting promotional materials for the most recent game I've been developing. unfortunately I've never been big on the idea of cross posting stuff to board 8, so I'm not sure if I will feel comfortable sharing anything here.

I'm not sure about TA2. when I played it, I didn't know about all of these mechanics. I only learned about it when I replayed FFTA a few years ago.

The game is fairly easy so you should be able to beat it even without min maxing
Maybe if all of your characters suck, you will feel like the game is really difficult

Only Humans and Moogles can learn Steal Ability, yeah. the Cinquedea isn't really essential for min-maxing. you can still make great Viera, Nu Mou, and Bangaa builds. Steal Ability just makes the process of getting new abilities on Humans and Moogles a little faster, which can make them feel a bit easier to use.

there's a lot of other hidden mechanics. like the areas where you choose to place new locations on the map will give different treasures depending on the map layout you choose. but I think everyone knows about that. there's actually many secret characters that you can recruit into your guild, and several of them have qualities that actually make them fairly desirable. from unique portraits/sprites, to having some aspect of their build like joining while already having high level abilities mastered.

I don't remember all of the details off the top of my head but I remember going out of my way to recruit the hidden characters just so that I could say that I did it. and I remember it being important to level in classes that give the most speed, while optimizing either a pure physical attack or pure magic attack growth for MOST builds. it's very rare that you want a character splitting their growth between physical and magical attack.

for Viera:
if you gain 10 levels as a White Mage you'll get 48 MP and 88 Magic Attack
if you gain 10 levels as a Summoner you'll get 62 MP and 101 Magic Attack

the slight differences in growths between jobs really adds up
that being said, the Summoner is an EXTREMELY slow class and I usually don't like to level in this class unless my Speed is already very high. the Assassin class is extremely fast, and has MP and Magic almost as high as the Summoner, while also having high Attack. it's one of the few cases where splitting growths is usually a valid option. simply because the Assassin is just really strong in basically every stat, and the Summoner is BARELY more optimal as a Mage while giving up a ton of Speed (we're talking +23 Speed vs +9 Speed over 10 Levels)

it's also possible to get the Cinquedea very early on in the game, a Thief weapon that allows you to learn Steal Ability, which makes the process of learning new Abilities extremely diverse and allows WAYS more options for the early game and basically through the process of the entire game. learning Steal Ability early on allows you to gain access to abilities that are otherwise impossible to learn at that early point in the game.

however, this process of getting Cinquedea early on is another obtuse grind that will take over an hour, and most people wouldn't even know it's possible to do. if I was going to fix one thing about the game I would have simply given players access to more weapons and abilities early on.

Actually what the heck is wrong with the accuracy in the game, it sure is fun when nothing happens for 5 turns since everyone keeps missing each other.

as someone who is pretty familiar with FFTA, I'm going to respond to this rather than the actual question posed on the topic. yes, base accuracy rates can suck. they can also be easily fixed by training units properly.

if your units still have trash accuracy and damage after the first few missions, it's likely because you have failed to train them. the way you level up units in this game is actually extremely important, it's a subtle mechanic of the game that isn't explained very well, is often overlooked by people playing the game casually, and can lead to WILDLY different results in terms of how consistent and effective your units are.

the short explanation is that you always want your characters to gain levels in the appropriate class so that they gain the BEST possible stats for their desired 'complete' build. these means when you want to learn an ability in the archer class, you might need to make sure that character doesn't gain enough EXP to gain a level while they are on the map, until they finish mastering the ability you wanted them to pick up. then you switch them to a different class when they're at 90 EXP and have them gain a level in the class that is going to give them the best stats. you have to meticulously do this for every character, every time you want to level them up, in order to create a guild full of the best units.

this tedious and overly complicated process is both one of the best and worst things about the game, and I think you have to go into it with the right mindset to truly enjoy it. that being said, there's a reason why they give you so many character slots in your guild, and why new characters are constantly showing up. if you keep the average level of the members of your guild very low, you can constantly recruit 'fresh' characters with blank slate builds, and start building them up correctly from scratch.

this is actually why characters like Montblanc are pretty terrible from a guild management perspective. if I recall correctly, you can't get rid of him, and the more you use him, the higher your 'average level' is going to be for the guild. on the flipside, if you never use Montblanc and always keep him at a low level, it'll be easier to keep the average level lower.

(the reason why getting fresh recruits at a low level is important is because it allows you to raise them properly through the correct leveling path. look at a Paladin who joins at Level 9 vs a Paladin that you raised yourself, properly, and you will see a massive difference in stats)

one lesson I learned this year is that putting a LOT of effort into one thing is better than putting a little bit of effort into many things. for most of this year when I was doing singing practice, I would pick a song, and then spend a few hours trying to perfect it, and record the final result. I was rarely happy with the results, it didn't feel like my overall singing ability was improving much, and I wasn't mastering even one song.

lately, I switched methods. now when I choose a song, I practice singing it multiple times a day, every day, for several weeks. only then, when I feel confident in singing the song without hesitation, I try to record it. usually within 1 or 2 takes it already sounds better than the other songs I used to try and learn and record all in one session.

so yeah the extra effort you put into one thing, over time, will make that one thing better and better. and I also think that this will improve your overall skills, too. like once I have mastered 10 songs, the 11th song will be easier. similarly, when you've mastered a rigging technique for the a specific type of eyes, or mouth movement, it will be easier to apply those techniques to later projects.

I guess to say that another way, it seems to take them 8 days to respond to a request as simple as 'Your account was accidentally caught in the spam filter. We just unblocked it.'

So I can't imagine how long it would take them to respond to a more complicated request.

I'm dealing with Discord support right now on an unrelated, but equally frustrating issue. It seems to take them about 8 days on average to respond which is just... insane, honestly. Especially if that's true about them auto-deleting an account after 14 days. That seems to leave an extremely small amount of room for error between your account getting erroneously blocked (like mine was) and them deleting it.

regarding your brother; I have no idea how anyone could put up with a person like that, much less continue to provide for them and bend over backwards trying to help them. your parents really needed to cut this guy loose like a week ago. a month ago. a year ago. I guess from my point of view he sounds more like a spoiled crybaby who should be laughed at and ignored, but if he actually comes across more like a dangerous psychopath IRL then... well, actually, either way you should just go completely NC with him as soon as possible.

regarding the Live2D; Looks good! have you thought about developing your general skills at rigging? because there are probably (definitely) people who would pay you to rig models for them, and it feels like a skill that you could develop to a professional level pretty quickly. over the years I've seen you master a lot of skills through self study that a lot of people might not even be able to do even with guided instruction.

It also won't be possible to use the Blend Master to turn low quality berries you find during the campaign into high quality Pokeblocks. Because his appearance is triggered by checking the TV which is also a daily event.

For basically all of the same reasons listed above regarding Milotic, it will be extremely difficult (if not impossible) for you to participate in the Contests. Although it's possible I might be forgetting something. I'm more familiar with R/S. Maybe there's a method in Emerald that allows you to get the higher quality berries, infinitely, with no daily events needed.

It will be impossible to get Milotic. The berries you can find in the wild don't have a good enough beauty to sheen ratio, and your Feebas would get full before its beauty stat is high enough to evolve. The berries needed to evolve Feebas are received from the Berry Master or by talking to Kiri in Sootopolis. The problem is that they give you berries 'once a day.' So not only will your berries not grow, if you could get them, but you can't even get them in the first place, because it's a daily event.

MariaTaylor

well... 'attack on titan' and 'death note'... pretty much everybody likes those. they're both 10/10 series. so knowing that you like those doesn't give much information about your specific tastes.

I'm trying to think of JRPG-like stories, but it's difficult.

most anime don't capture the feeling of conventional fantasy stories very well. anime creators and consumers seem to love the story where a person from our world is taken to a fantasy setting. you don't usually get that earnest cast of fantasy characters who were born into a fantasy world, with a story that takes itself and the setting seriously, without having to read manga. even looking back further, all time classics like Spirited Away, Inuyasha, and Magic Knight Rayearth have modern day characters traveling to the fantasy setting.

here's what I came up with;

nanatsu no taizai - the series is nice but pretty flawed and I'm not sure I'd give it a glowing recommendation. it's not largely considered GREAT by any majority. I did love the first season but even that season has its flaws. that being said, it's unapologetically a fantasy story and doesn't try to shoehorn any modern day elements into the story at all.

queen's blade - I definitely wouldn't recommend this but I had to put it on the list because it is actually a legitimate fantasy series. actually, it kinda seems like there's a few of these trashy fanservice shows that take place completely in the fantasy setting with no isekai elements. huh.. I wonder why that is?

princess mononoke / castle in the sky / many others - there are studio ghibli films other than Spirited Away that actually take place completely in a fantasy setting with no modern day characters. these movies also fit the other 'attack on titan/death' note criteria; ghibli films are generally loved by everyone who watches them. it's a safe bet that you'd love most or all of these movies. I also recommend nausicaa, one of my favorite movies. although the setting blurs the line between fantasy and sci fi more than princess mononoke, it's great stuff. as a bonus there are actual JRPGs which are modeled in the style of the ghibli films. the game is called Ni no Kuni and it has at least one sequel that I know of. so yeah if you're looking for JRPG-esque anime, this might be a direction to look in.

out of the things I mentioned previously, I'll also say that the isekai elements don't take anything away from Magic Knight Rayearth or Spirited Away. I can't speak for Inuyasha because it's a really long show and I only watched bits and pieces of it... a very long time ago.

I really don't like skipping the opening when watching anime, so typically if something has a great OP it makes me want to keep going to the next episode right away... but if the OP is generic, boring, or bad, it actually makes me less likely to feel motivated to watch the next episode even if I'm enjoying the show itself. this is definitely irrational but I've noticed it's how my brain works.

I watched guardians of the galaxy 3 yesterday... I think it might be the best movie of the three, but I definitely have mixed feelings about it. the great parts were indeed great. rocket's backstory was just kinda unpleasant to watch, I think it went too far in a direction that I wasn't personally satisfied with seeing.

like, you can make the argument that having a more tragic, deep backstory makes for a better narrative or a better character. but I also can't deny the fact that watching animals in cages being tortured and watching cute talking animal characters being gunned down is just not something that I wanted to see for any reason. so yeah I dunno. it's a good movie that is unpleasant to watch at times, if that makes sense.

honestly I know you probably don't have a choice, and if you were able to leave that environment in some reasonable way, you probably would... but I still feel like saying that you should try to remove yourself from that environment. it sounds extremely unsafe and, even beyond that, just detrimental to your mental and emotional health. staying in a toxic social environment is like the RPG equivalent of standing on top of a poison/swamp/damage tile and not moving. it's going to slowly drain you until you move.

stay safe.
