With hammer in hand, I systematically clean up the remaining dungeons in order. Palace of Darkness, Water Dungeon, Ice Palace all done.

Items gained: Bottle #4 (Bee)(Water dungeon), Blue Tunic (Water dungeon), Mushroom (Water dungeon), Silver Arrows (Water dungeon boss), Gilded Sword (Showing Sahastrala the Green pendant (from Ice Palace)), Ether Medallion (Chest in Sahastrala's house... forgot to visit it earlier >.>), Shovel (pulling out the Master Sword)

In any case, it's just Turtle rock and Ganon's tower left... for tomorrow.

With Hookshot in hand, the game continues! Stopping points are nearly all hammer-based (I tried every dungeon possible), though I also need the ether medallion to get into Turtle Rock. Beat Misery Mire, at least... and while you think Magic Powder isn't that useful, it's incredibly so; turning those bubbles into fairies... and in this case... getting me the hammer from the guy who usually halves your magic!

Items gained: Cane of Byrna (Death Mountain light world chest), Magical Boomerang (Death Mountain dark world chest), Tempered Sword (Ice Palace), Magic Powder (Misery Mire), Hammer (1/2 magic well)

Tower of Hera (Red Medallion), Desert Palace (Crystal #7), and Thieves' Town (Crystal #6) cleared!
(It took using the flute to the desert, the titan mitt to get to misery mire, and then the mirror to properly enter the desert palace... and the item I gained inside there will tell you why.)

Items gained: Bottle #2 (fairy, under bridge), Book of Mudora (On top of torch in desert palace), Bottle #3 (fairy, from ether medallion location), Quake Medallion (Thieves' Town jail cell chest), Small Shield (Thieves' Town Boss), Cane of Somalia (flute boy), Fire Rod (taking locked chest to thief).

While I'm making decent progress... still wish I could find that hammer (and hookshot) already. Going to hit up the one in the woods next.
NOTE TO SELF: Once hammer is found go back to thieves' town, get big chest.

Aganihm defeated, and Palace of Darkness raided (not beat, as no hammer).

Items gained: Sword #2 (sewers bombable wall room), boots (sewers bombable wall room), moon pearl (library), Flippers (right side of pyramid), Magic Mirror (Palace of Darkness chest), Titan Mitt (Palace of Darkness chest), Bombos Medallion (Palace of Darkness chest)

Bomb count: 30
Arrow count: 35

Anyway, with the mirror and flute and flippers and titan mitt, should be able to hop from dark to light world almost as much as I want. ;)

Randomizer run started! Checking in after finishing dungeon #1 (which gave me Crystal #3)

Items gained: Bombs, Ice Rod (Hyrule Castle), Lantern, Flute(draining light water palace), Bow(cave that normally contains ice rod), Bottle (red potion), Sword (sage cave in desert), Magic Cape (in first dungeon), Power Glove (from boss of first dungeon).

I really need to find the boots, because the Moon pearl is stuck where the book of Mudora usually is.

Started saints row 2 normal difficulty.

Spend the 500$ on clothing, start the gat mission, fail like 5 times on the driving part, fail a few more times on the shooting part... Then sr2 stopped working and I lost all my progress.

Good: newspaper headlines, being able to enter buildings like that one with the fish in the freezer.
Bad: driving controls
Ugly: the entire stripper bar the gat mission starts in

Beat Megaman 5 this weekend. Gyro man and star man's stages both made me game over, as did the 1st castle stage many times, but any stage I made it to the boss I cleared w/o continuing.

Was fun, but... I'd rather have played Megaman V. ;)

Starting Megaman 5 now (via PS4 legacy collection).

Will likely finish it and aLttP this weekend, leaving myself Saints Row 2 to play for the rest of the month. (which I have access to via steam sharing with my brother, so no worries there.)

Also, if you've played aLttP a bunch of times before but still want to go through it for this, try out the randomizer!

Also, Hollow Knight... lol I was at the colosseum trying to beat the second challenge... before getting the double jump ability.

(For the record, it's kind of crazy just how much of the map is open once you have the mantis claw).

Don't want to leave the Colosseum until I complete the second challenge, need that pale ore to get the level 4 nail.

Anyone have any advice for it? The furthest I've gotten is where you only have walls and the floor's lined with spikes.
