The unfortunate (but historically accurate) situation of a 14-year-old princess being arranged to marry a 24-year-old prince aside, it was a touching episode. I guess I can somewhat relate to it because there's a 7 year age gap between me and my fiancee, so I can understand the concerns they voiced. And speaking of voiced, that was Elliot/Felix's voice actor in that episode! He was kind of a blend of both of them here, actually. Also, Violet stretching her face to form a big smile for the princess was fantastic. --- |

I just saw it won Best Cast in the anime awards topic thing, and I usually try to check those out if I can because that's something I care about a lot in a show (it's why I watched Nozaki-kun and SNAFU). I might have to move it up my priority list once I finish up something else. Speaking of which, Dragon Ball Episode 22 complete! They haven't really taken any of these fights seriously so far, but it was cool seeing Roshi in action. --- |

It's kind of strange that Fred is kind of a generic everyman in the original show, but spinoff cartoons like this one (and A Pup Named Scooby-Doo) have really fleshed out his personality by taking one of his traits to the extreme. In this show, it's his penchant for trap making, and in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, it was the fact that he (and the rest of the gang) could never figure out who the culprit was until they unmasked them. --- |
