Yeah, this feels like this has become much more of a thing in the playoffs in recent years, and it's why it seems like we don't have a lot of close playoff games anymore. One team gets hot on a given night and wins by double digits, rinse, repeat.

The Mandalorian Season 3 complete!

Having a midair battle with jetpacks was pretty sweet. Overall, this felt like a pretty safe season, not necessarily in a bad way. It just didn't seem like a lot happened. Wonder if they're holding some stuff back for the upcoming movie.

I started Disco Elysium. I did the boring thing with my character build and just evenly distributed my 12 points among the four categories, with Encyclopedia as my focus. I'm generally not a risk taker with this sort of thing, so I opt for average or balance.

Mega Man 11 beated! The Wily stages honestly weren't too bad this time around, neither were the Wily fights themselves.

Robot Master rankings: Blast Man > Fuse Man > Bounce Man > Block Man > Tundra Man > Impact Man > Acid Man > Torch Man

Weapon rankings: Block Dropper > Acid Barrier > Bounce Ball > Chain Blast > Tundra Storm > Scramble Thunder > Blazing Torch > Pile Driver

The top 4 were all really useful, but Block Dropper was super handy at taking out enemies that were otherwise out of reach. Top tier weapon for the entire series in terms of usefulness, honestly.

Overall, MM11 probably ranks in the middle of the series. I don't remember my overall rankings from when I played through all the games a couple years ago (beyond 9 and 2 being the best), so I don't know how I'd insert it there.

also wow once you can purchase the item that increases the drop rate of bolts, it really trivializes keeping your inventory stocked between levels, so that was probably a big part of it

Beat all 8 Robot Masters in Mega Man 11 (and the trophy I got for doing so boosted me up to Trophy Level 300 on PSN, to boot!). I don't know if the levels were easier or I just got used to the game, but I didn't struggle as much with the last four. Let's see what the Wily levels are like this time around.

well they kept throwing him against Snake repeatedly even though he had no chance to win so why not Zelda again

I've been fortunate that Squall generally hasn't lost to bad characters (Losing to Red in 2013 is the closest we got) so I'd prefer to keep it that way

No, I mean, I can't think of a game I've played where boss fights give really meaty experience bonuses and the party needs to be alive to receive them.

I feel like most RPGs don't give EXP to dead party members.

Unless you're talking about just the amount of EXP

Nah, it ultimately never matters because you can make it up elsewhere one way or another. It's just the principle of the thing!

I've beaten 4 Robot Masters in Mega Man 11 now. I still think these are larger levels, and I wish the checkpoints were a little closer together, but it's been pretty fun so far. The weapons feel pretty useful, too, which is always nice.

Also I realized that Mega Man is voiced by Jusis/Lorenz's VA.

During the post-credits scene. They start a security firm that secretly sells the plans to the bad guys, leading Ron to wonder if they're actually the real bad guys.

And they're clearly scouting out the area for a heist in their cameo in AAI2. Ron doesn't change his ways. Desiree changes her ways.

Once again, Ron doesn't stop being a criminal since he's off the hook for double jeopardy. He continues being one, and Desiree joins him.

Square is aware of the theory, so they can poke fun at it. The Ultimania confirms it isn't real.

People misunderstood the idea that sorceresses can't die without passing on their powers, as if that makes them immortal. Sorceresses have normal lifespans. They'll involuntarily pass on their powers if they're on the verge of death (see Ultimecia in the ending).

With DRV3 out of the way, I decided to start up Mega Man 11! I bought it on sale a few months ago, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I feel like people have mixed opinions on this one. The aesthetic reminds me of MM7, which I actually do like!

I've beaten two Robot Masters so far. I haven't really used the Gears too much other than to experiment with them. I guess I should try harder to make use of them since they seem pretty powerful, but I forget they exist sometimes since this is a new wrinkle to the formula. Not sure if it's just in my head, but the levels do feel a little larger than your average Mega Man level.

it also reminds me why I hate playing games with limited lives as I get older because I feel like I don't have the patience for game overs anymore lawl

Okay, I think I'm officially done with Danganronpa V3. I've maxed out all the characters I care to, so I apologize to anyone who may have been good that I couldn't find the motivation to max...!
